Hipster/Off-Meta (What builds have you tried, what worked, what didn't?)

I'm a big fan of off-meta, hipstery builds. Sometimes Ill think of a joke and go. 'Could I make Hells-Bells' work, aka Infernalist Bell Quarterstaff with Fire?

What very off meta builds have you tried? What's worked, what hasn't? And if anyone has suggestions for making them work?

I'm at 41 on a Quarterstaff Titan. Trying to build it with stuns/AOE. I think the power of Tempest Bell(s) is carrying it hard, and it's starting to fall off at the end of act 3. Problem I think is lack of good synergy with freeze/shock and lack of good crit scaling on the warrior side.
