Poe2 question about evasion

Hello,im playing ranger deadeye 70% evasion with acrobatic reduce evasion rating 70% but can evade all hit (if u dont know it) but im getting literally destroyed every time i got hit from any mobs. Im doing maps t15 alone and some times with friends.
How does it work for end game build with evasion? Praying god you dont get any hit?
My friends with armor are doing fine,even with cheaper equipment and under level,armors and energy shield seems so powerful late game Instead evasion are lacking a lot.
Im missing something about how evasion works?
Im lv 85 with all res 75 exepct chaos 68 with 2.1k hp.
