PS5 bonestorm

I've been frustrated all day because I play witch but when I use the bone storm ability, it always shoots at point-blank range, so from what I've been investigating, the full range only works with the mouse, because it shoots where it points, but with a controller this doesn't happen, it only shoots at point-blank range so it's basically useless in normal gameplay conditions.
