Deadeye LA | Crucible League | Need help for pushing more defense.

Hello!
As a disclaimer I built this character by observing what others were doing on POE Ninja in the builds section. I've had some help from a few friends in game as well but i've done gear acquisition and passive placement by observation. It's helped me understand a lot about the game.

However, Recently I bought Omni, and while I new I would end up with less defense due to loosing stat based evasion and life, i didn't know it would be this uncomfortable. I get 1 tapped a lot unless I use balista totem and another lightning arrow for cover fire, but them i'm severely lacking for single target fights.

I'd like to move into boss fights if possible.

Any pointers on how to push more defensives would be great.
Expected div investment cost would also be helpful.

Use for ideals maybe?. I switched up LA for Ice Shot and put my LA on a totem with Barrage support. And I agree it takes a bit to see how Omni is actually a good neck, I wasn't a fan for a good bit but am now.

I dropped Determination, adding in Pet Blood and Prog Flask and it is night and day in terms of surviving damage taken and dying a whole lot less.

Admittedly its a more expensive build.

But I enjoy it a lot more now that I switched it up and went with Ice Shot (adding in some freezing to help out via Hypo support). I use it mainly for juiced maps, Legion, and Breaches. I use two other builds for bossing (Jugg RF and PF FR).

I've played Tornado shot in previous leagues so Ice Shot seems "new" to me.

So, you're playing a glass cannon softcore cod+portal map farmer build, and want more defence? Move into bosses? Lol. Lmao even.
