Build Help

Hello,

I'm a semi-noob at this game. I am currently stuck at my build doing red maps and wondering what I can do to increase my defenses as well as my dps. I am currently saving up links to do the 5-link craft, but besides that how should I go about improving my build? So far I am doing alright in terms of survivability and damage, until I get into the red maps.

I'd recommend looking at some guides to follow along. As you are new to the game, it's hard to figure out what is good or not. You'd be able to buy significant upgrades to most of your gear for just a few chaos each slot.

Ghazzytv does a lot of minion stuff. He has several guides and a lot of info, both video and written.

I'd start with looking at the Zoomancer, Mage Skeleton, and Poison Summon Raging Spirits guides to see if any of those fit the playstyle you are looking for. I don't have that much experience with summoners, but it looks like the Zoomancer is the more relaxed build while the other two need a bit more pressing of keys. It does have a low ceiling though, so it's really easy to start off, but also doesn't scale very high for end game content. Should be fine for most red maps though. Mage skeletons and poison srs can scale higher with more investment.

I'm following ghazzytv poison srs guide (mostly) with my witch and I'm cruising through maps. I've only tried up to T13 so far, but I don't suffer deaths very often unless it's a really tough map.

Just eyeballing your build, you don't have any armor so physical hits are going to hurt a lot. Most of my gear is AR/ES in order mitigate damage while still having some ES.

I could recommend you my poison srs guide, you would need covenant chest piece and then you should be able to play it well.

Hey guys, thank you for inputing your advice. I semi-modeled my build off of the posion SRS/Zoomancer but wanted to go my own way... it seems that is the reason I am struggling. I made some improvements to my build and will post it. Like mentioned above, the lack of armour is I think the biggest downfall. In the future I will not go pure ES and try to get more STR to get the hybrid gear. I'm saving for the covenent as well as better ghastly eye jewels to see if that can help. I managed to beat both the eater of worlds and the searing exarch, which is a first for me.
