crit cleave Arn's Anguish/Ming's heart build

After many tries, it seems that I have the build working. The key part is the timeless jewel (Lethal pride). You sort of need to have endurance charge chance on kill in a good amount to make the build work. I had been using red nightmare for this, but it's point inefficient since I don't like using blood rage. I'd rather use green nightmare for frenzy charge generation and for the additional spell suppression.

I'm going to digress for a bit and talk about spell suppression. I think this is OP - if you take spell damage, then the next hits you take for like 10 seconds are basically cut in half. This is really strong. If you enchant your boots or craft spell suppression then take the 'spell suppression lucky' mastery, then I think you max not need +max resists.

Anyways, there are a few key items to this build (which does around 44m+ max dps). First is Arn's Anguish. This belt is good because each endurance charge becomes a brutal charge, which gives you 3% for triple damage. Since 5% double is 5% more DPS, this is 7.5% more for the same price of 5% triple chance. Since the belt gives you +1 brutal charge and two more are easily accessible, you can get 18% triple damage, for 27% more dps. I like big MORE DPS figures.

Another important item for the build is ming's heart. This gives you bonkers extra chaos damage and chaos resist (which you need) at the cost of alot of life. Since I like playing for damage, I use the ring. Nothing more to really say about it.

I use a legacy abyssus with blood and sand enchant (which is BiS). This helmet makes you squishy, but I get around that by using a determination watcher's and, also, lots of base armour. I don't take a fuckton of armor on the tree (sort of can't, unless you use a marauder/duelist area tree which has issues with getting enough crit and having jewel slots). My current build struggles for stats and resists.

Good swords help, since you're doing big damage numbers which you want to triple. I recommend 600 pdps x 2 if you can swing it. I'm currently using a 600 and another sword which helps me get int.

I currently use taming ring, since I use awakened added fire, shapers amulet w. lightning extra, and a legacy taste of hate. This is 60% increased damage (additive) on a single target, since I am basically 100% crit chance w. 3x power charges. My plan is to get into a mageblood and be basically 100% crit chance no matter what.

Kaom's spirit are the gloves that I use. Everyone is using these gloves. They give you stable walking around dps and there's little downside to using the gloves as duelist. I think everyone likes and uses these gloves for a reason. I have enfeeble on hit variant - you might want vuln+atk speed double corrupted from locus of corruption.

I do 44m max dps (ambidexterity on amulet I think - panopticon gives better max dps, which you can get from IR impossible escape or by annointing your amulet). The build can probably do much better than this with perfect gear. I think it should do 60 if you're rich and can minmax it. It's a pretty cheap build. With normal abyssus and normal flasks (there's no really special gear needed) you should be able to do like 20m maxed dps, I think.

I can do 16s and all the normal mean map bosses. Phys DR is pretty good. I think +max via impossible escape is good, but I don't think I can get it maybe. The build is very precise in it's use of points. You don't get reservation, you focus on damage and spell suppression and take as much armor as you can in general, and work towards a mageblood. A mageblood makes you much more point efficient and faster and tanky.

I haven't delved yet with the build but it should work ok. Life is low, but it should delve decently with this sort of DPS.

If you want to use Impale instead of close combat, you grab a point from the impossible escape and also sword mastery and also run the gem. Or not do one of those and run dread banner. I'm using war banner, but defiance is probably better. I struggle to make hit chance even with using DPS slayer setup. I think close combat is better, since vs strong bosses you can stand in their face while buffed and get 40% more vs them.

Here's POB (60m max dps now w/o panopticon):

Here's a POB w. a itemlevel 86 elder stygian. This gives me onslaught and blind, both of which are good. It's 57.5m max dps.

updated stygian setup with buffed flasks for 73.7m max dps (higher if you use panopticon). I personally think that a enhance lvl4 paired with berserk is maybe better than running blood rage, as it gives a large boost to attack damage. This effect is even more pronounced if you use ashes of the stars.:

Here's a 72.6m max dps blood stance w. herald of purity and impale setup. It maps very smoothly in sand stance w. around 50m max. Arena challenger forbidden flesh and forbidden flame would go nicely with this:

Here's a vid of a farming variation of what I'm doing. It's w. IIQ gem and a perandus blazon. Vid here: https://youtu.be/Sd-OEKNqkMY

Here's an updated 75m max dps setup. I vendored some lethal prides that I found and got a triple double damage one!

If you want to see my atlas check out my profile. I run crimson temples at T15/16 with 4 voidstones. I pingpong between it and siege. I use carto scarabs on seige to refill my supply.

//Here's an 81m spec with a large cluster and double megalomaniac. It runs a 24% phys as extra chaos ming's heart. If I had perfect gear, I could use a current ming's heart and approach 100m.

//85m spec w. medium cluster instead of megalomania, which lets me put my crit multi jewel. I had a multi/impale, but I bricked it. I had another jewel like this crit multi jewel, but I bricked that too. I want to run temples until I have a maim/hinder jewel, but I don't have the jewels yet to corrupt.

For the build I like combat rhythm on large/med, and then quick getaway and pressure points on the medium. Quick getaway is a combo of pressure points and combat rhythm. Combat rhythm makes you fast if you don't have great boots (I don't). Pressure points pairs well with a lethal pride that gives you chance at double damage - it's basically the highest DPS thing you can get.

I am currently not running an arn's and don't intend to. I think that putting these points into endurance charges is a little inefficient. It's also hard to get endurance charges, while getting 2x-3x double damage nodes on a lethal pride is far easier. It's just a simpler and better way to play. I don't use magnate, because it makes you squishy. I don't use the current ming's heart version, because I don't have the life for it. If you go into templar area then you can have enough life to run it, but building a more damage-oriented tree leaves you quite short on life. Since my dude is very squishy (sorta) and doesn't do too great against the extra content in T16, it's very questionable to play with around 4k life with this build IMO - things will just squash you unless you roll your maps very carefully, don't get map mod effect nodes, and also don't run extra content.

Compared to vaal cleave, this build is completely squishy. I don't have spell suppression, which is simply halving the damage after your factor in resists (which should be high). So, the max hit in elemental will be very low compared to that build. Phys resistance is best handled with a mageblood - it's the best way to get 36k+ armor, which makes you extremely tanky. Speed also is great - you want to be fast and nimble and deadly. Mageblood does that for you also. It reduces your max DPS potential as you aren't using the cool flasks, but it stabilizes your char and puts your char in much better form. Chaos resistance, for instance, is a complete non-issue for mageblood users.

//Here's a 87m setup using current ming's heart, improved boots and chestpiece, and running flesh and stone for sand stance. Grabbing ambidexterity and twin terrors is nice, but if you take more life you can use a better damage ming's heart.

//new video.

I'm squishy, as I'm waiting for lvl98 to put an armour/fortify point back. I almost die to leaping goats or fire explosions in this video like 3x! I don't die though. I'll say that I die quite a bit, but it's almost always a misplay when I do. I'm trying to play better! Content is a T16 crimson temple. No exarch influence (I make bad decisions with altars). I'm doing blight and breach and running a polished map scarab. I sometimes vaal the map. I don't like doing that as sustain is currently iffy. It's hard to put enough monsters on this map safely - vaal'ing and polished map scarab may be necessary for sustain. Cemetery is better for sustain for sure, as you can put more league mechanics on it. I misclick a few times in the vid as I'm not used to playing on this smaller resolution that I used for the vid. I'm using 1x combat rhythm cluster notable in this vid. 2x this is better (you become quite fast), but I go with 1x for more damage. PoB here: https://pobb.in/oTmhCl6nw_Zj

In the video I'm running a gold flask. I put the legacy taste of hate in the PoB and am using it again. DPS difference isn't much, but there is a difference. In the blight encounter I have a troublesome rare at the end, and you want good walking around DPS for those situations. If the thing doesn't die fast, it's potentially a problem. You need to consider such things, and what to do.

I don't think you need all the legacy flasks or a legacy abyssus to have a good time with the build. You just need to understand that you're squishy and be smart about what content you run. I wouldn't try to run T16 harvest and searing exarch influence, for instance.

I think that it's smart to use a legacy 20% ming's heart, then put noxious catalyst on it to make it 24%. 4100 life is dangerous because the phys max hit is very low. 4.4k is better. I think 5300 life would be ideal, but it's difficult using this ring. Maybe you can cut dervish and put more life and have better gear?

Bleed immunity is something that is nice to have. You can get it by running a twin-terrors/ambidexterity tree, so that you have plenty of dexterity. Then you can put on a bleed-immune le heup of all, instead of a rare ring. This allows you to put a very speedy flask, instead of this sorta crappy flask that I'm using. There's an option to take cloth and chain and then get bleed immunity via the mastery, but I think that's sort of bad. With this build, you need to be careful when you run vuln maps. The more league content you put on the map, the more careful you need to be about bleeding. You should probably play the game with the game effects sounds on high, so that you can hear yourself bleeding very well.
