[3.20] My Auto Golem Bombancer

Preface: This is the first build i've created that i feel deserves to be made into a build guide, i am not saying you should play it only that it was a theoretical idea that actually worked and its here if you want to try it.

With regards to Pros and Cons i haven't really begun to test its limits as i've been more focused on improvements but what i can say is it runs Sanctums easily (not a no hit runner though) clears maps fine, it did normal white Exarch in about 10 seconds but i've made changes since then and ill start testing higher content soon.

It's hard to say whether or not the build can be started cheaply as i had some help getting started and i had some decent gear around, i imagine it's possible for less than 10 divines maybe even lower if you go Elementalist first and then Switch to Necromancer.

But lets get into it:

The build is based around the Keystone "Minion Instability", this is our primary source of damage but we have others as well.

The idea was to use a minion, scale its life/damage and level in order to get the most out of it and that minion is Stone Golem.


I will go through step by step all the key factors first:


Ascendancy: Necromancer
Forbidden Jewels: Liege of the Primordial

This allows us to get many of the minion bonuses of Necromancer but gain the critical aspect from Elementalist - the automatic golem re-summon.

With an Anima stone, 3 primordial jewels, LoP and Passive tree we get 5 Golems on a 4 second respawn.


Minion Instability

We need to kill our Golems in order to proc this ability, we do that by using an Anomalous Infernal Legion with 20% quality to degen our Golems to 50% life whereupon they explode.

To help Infernal Legion kill our golems we need to reduce their elemental resistances, to do that we use the shield Maligaro's Lens with the keystone Necromantic Aegis, all stats on the shield then apply to our Golems.

The main ones are:
(10–20)% increased maximum Life
-50% to all Elemental Resistances
Nearby allies Recover 1% of your Maximum Life when you Die


This makes our Golems die quickly, even if you gain some resistances elsewhere (i have 2 x Bone rings with +20% total all res)

It also gives the golems more life and the amazing benefit of granting you (and other allies) 1% of their maximum life when they die. My golems die once every 0.8 seconds when staggered and they have 500,000 life so that's a lot of consistent life recovered.

(also just occurred to me you could make a support build using 8 auto dieing golems in a party purely for the life recovery, even at 300,000 life each you would get 3k life every 0.5 seconds, food for thought)

Anyway i digress.

So now that we have the backbone of the build here are some specific things i've got to make it work:

Body Armour: Dialla's Malefaction
+2 Golem level
+2 Empower level
+30% quality to Infernal legion/Combustion/Predator/Minion Life

This boosts minion level and life and Infernal Legions life degen.

Elegant Hubris
101860 - This turns 7 nodes in the Shadow radius into either Minion Life 80% or minion damage 80%

Siegebreaker/Replica Siegebreaker
Creates a ground degen based on the minions life (which is a lot)
It seems to disappear from PoB when i quality my belt above 20% but against trash mobs it deals around 3-3.5m dps so the 24% version will do a bit more.

We have also have:
9 Zombies with feeding frenzy.
4 Spectres made up of Arena Master, Pale Seraphim, Xophs Loyal and Carnage Chieftain
Animate Guardian doing what an AG does.

We have 4 spectres because our gem is level 25.
Our Stone Golem is level 34 and im hoping to get him to 36 with a chest corruption.

With regards to defence, we don't have much. I have started to lose some damage in order to make the build a little tankier for mapping and to die less.

We run Determination, Skitterbots, Defiance banner and Discipline and i am trying to squeeze in Grace with Iron reflexes on my Sanctified relic when i get a better one.

We have Zealots Oath because it changes the golems life regen into 1000 ES per second but doesn't change the shields 5k life recovered on minion death.

One issue was with golems auto resummoning, when you change zones the respawn of all golems syncs up so you end up with 5 golems all exploding at the same time and then you have 4 seconds of downtime, to rectify this you need the mastery passive that grants minions 5% life on minion death, this delays the golems death when one dies by a fraction and after a couple of rotations you'll end up with 1 golem about to die and 1 respawning. It also keeps other minions alive.


Playstyle

Run around, run through packs, cast predator on what you want to die, cast convocation if your going through a pack of monsters, the golems will die roughly every 0.8 seconds, they explode and can ignite mobs and lay a ground degen and infernal legion causes some damage. Trigger wand applies Fire Exposure/Flammability/Desecrate.

Flasks grant me armour/Phasing/movespeed/chaos res on auto use.

Gameplay allows you to just focus on moving/avoiding with the golems doing all the work.

Here's my latest PoB but still a work in progress. For reference its at about 150 divines so far but it's been a development and testing from the get go so i've definitely wasted some currency.

Things i am focusing on at the moment:
Getting a L21 Stone Golem with 20% Quality for 10% inc damage.
Getting my helm enchanted with 40% increased Stone golem damage.
Getting some more dex to level Grace, replace my Sanctified relic and Iron reflexes for a ton more armour.
Leveling up a bit more.

I should have waited a couple of seconds during the Phoenix map for my golems to unsync which is what I did at the beginning of Lycia run.

I've been looking for a fun Minion Instability build for 3.21 - I like the diamond SRS, but when I saw the Crucible node that "Your Golems Health Is Doubled" I found your post to see if I can work that in.

Initially I was considering the Formless Inferno to get the lvl 30 Infernal Legion, but it would limit the golems to a 5L instead of a 6L.

I also was looking into how additional minions could be automated (like the Zombie corpses with deathwalk on boots, or maybe CWDT SRS).

I haven't worked on this yet, but just came across your post and wanted to thank you - some great ideas here, can't wait to see how it works in Crucible.

I saw that node and immediately thought I could remake the build but then it only applied to elemental golems not stone and although they might have had slightly more life they aren't melee so you would have had a hard time getting them to jump into packs.
This build sounds interesting, I will take a look on how to improve it in the future.
