The Rippling Thoughts

Hello everyone!

First time posting on the forums here and I just had a question. I have been reading guides and all sorts of things lately getting back into the game.

I found a piece to The Rippling Thoughts and I was wondering....Would it be worth trying to build a lightning witch melee built around this weapon? I was messing around trying to build something just not sure it is worth it. I can only find horrible things said about this weapon on the internet. Just looking for some feedback on a melee lightning class. I know templar may but the best option but I just like playing Witch's it seems.
