Build up your defences and damage

This build shows improving paths of gear-set-ups. Mana, damage and defences are balanced a bit different with the weapon, belt, used or unused tempestshield and clusters. You can switch the set-ups fast.

1.) Levelling (until t12 maps)

Stack 80% poisonchances with passives and poison on hit-tattoos for production of HoA-virulences with your own spells.
Get the cheap starters: Apep's Slumber or Ghastly Theater shield, Rainbow Stride boots, Darkness Enthroned, Ghastly jewels with minion chance to poison on hit.
Get needed dex and resis on other gear and for HoA a 5 /6 link Body Armour or Replica Alpha's howl.

Head always as early as possible to cheap small clusters for auras and medium clusters for "pure agony".


2.) Starter Set-up - The Mana-Management

Relaxed master your manamanagement around lvl 50 with the 3 small clusters "uncompromising", "sublime form" and "self-control". Simultan start to outsource resistances and attributes from gear onto the transferpoints of clusterjewels and onto ghastly jewels.

With 2 rings circles of nostalgia, all skill-reservation-efficiencies, and on top the 90% (or better 80%) manamultiplier-helmet corruption and the amulet-anoint you manage your mana to activate all big tanky auras to stack all global basic defences and keystones.

When you get a watcher's eye with es on hit and reach on the tree 95-100% spell suppression and have crafted well rolled flasks you are already geared for almost all content.

3.) Boss-Hunter 20 M - The Damage

Easy around lvl 60 you start to optimize your damage with full "pure agony" on all 9-12 medium clusters. For this insert 3 cheap large clusters 5-passives voices into the tree.

Harmonically in simultaneity you tripple up your ehp around lvl 70-85:
Arriving in the second and third large cluster you max also your defences by aurastacking and switch in more jewels and small clusters.
You reach an unique record of 1M-inf*Ehp.


4.) 100% Chaos-Conversion: 40-80 M shaper-damage

Outsource all needed attributes, resis, ailment avoidances, spell suppression and mana-reg from gear on jewels, clustertransfers, implicits, tattoos and league-mechanics to get more free passives and capacities for damage, tankyness and qol.

Attractive corruptions & doublecorruptions are gathered and best rare pieces are sniped or crafted.

Melding of the flesh and a sapphire flask raise ele-max-resis to tanky 85-90%.

The hunt for some additional fitting megalomaniacs clusters with hundreds of interesting combinations begins.


5.) The Highway to damage 100-600 M

Around lvl 95 when you want to full max you decide to gain the b.i.s.-status on each piece of gear, jewel and each implicit.

You crawl into the final HoA skill-lvls 34-40. With voices clusters or also the fourth large cluster you improve further stacking 98 up to 113 virulences against the last Ubers in still remaining full tankyness.
Your HoA-base-damage skyrocks with the raising virulences. So in effect you need less minionpoison for high damage over time.
Now you scale finally into HoA-crits with Maata's Teaching and additional curses on top for total convincing 200-1000M shaper-damage - or walk relaxed into tankyness, qol or an unholy might-minion-mastery beside.

The crawler raises - Herald of Agony caught the POE world by storm

HoAg, HoP, HoT, HoI, HoA

Originally five heralds, one for each of the five damagetypes in wraeclast, were sent out from the islands of zealand to boost the clear speed in the mines of Nico.

Two heralds were designed as outliners to be empowered as new mainskills. The gang of of purity, heralds in the mortal physical realm, fighted hard, slow and melee.

Last the only one single raised. Shaped as a scorpion the herald of chaos was immortal born in the endless dunes of arachnophilia and crawled out of the sands at the beaches of Wraeclast to raise his small dirty sting.

A long time ago - The meta of herald-stackers [3.4] to [3.12]

In these ancient leagues all heralds were often multiple crossover stacked with more heralds to be elemental scaled and converted, supported by the aura hatred, the grips of the counsil, cold penetrations and exposures and the keystone elemental equilirium. These heraldstackers were often the leading meta-skills in [3.4] Delve and following.

Of course fast in [3.5] Betrayal league the multiple-damage-scaling of herald-stackers and in [3.7] Legion the HoA-virulences-damage and agony-uptime with cluster-notables were deep, dark and bitter nerfed by 40%. Merciless aegis aurora es on block was halfed.


The Mana guardians

Finally as Mana Guardian this chaoscrawler caught the POE world by storm when POEDan took it to a whopping 1359 hardcore delve level in [3.7] Legion. He had something like 27K energy shield, 40K armor, and well over 1 million in Shaper DPS. In Metamorph league [3.9], the build was used again by Daser in SSFHC delve competition and he finished second place with 1071 depth with far less gear than Dan's 1085 depth Baron Zombie guardian.


The deep nerf

A second time in [3.10] Delirium the hammer swinged - another 30% nerf to HoAg-damage was thrown out. The support-spectres as well as the animated guardian we're nerfed step by step and lost their former immortality from [3.13] Ritual league by league until [3.15] Expedition and even further sinking into the [3.19] Lake of Kalandra.

The Arachnophobias and Arachnophilias

In [3.13] Ritual I introduced the new guide "The Arachnophobia Allstars" focussing much more on armour- and aura-stacking with more clusters and aul's uprising, with iron reflexes on Skin of the Lords, solely exclusive designed with immortal minions, with evasions of minion-blindings. With more curses and full withers I buffed up spirit offering, in that time another added 30% chaosdamage. I optimized the pathing and skills and supports and with fastings almost 100% flasks-uptimes were reached before the famous belt mageblood was born. I reworked the selection of large and small clusters using their buffs of [3.11] Harvest. I stacked the aura-notables and stalwart commanders to build in Grace. I combinated HoA with withering spiders of arakaali's fang. The build was designed as total tank and I reached in that times immortal 5k es on block stinging in 5M shaper-damage. In the Delve depth race the build reached rank 3.

Leaderboards [3.14] to [3.15]

So in [3.14] Ultimatum the HoA-allstars-guardian was popular again and No1-rank in the solo-leaderboards of the Guardian-leaderboards, No1 in the forum, and leading the arachnophobiatic dream-team of scorpions and spiders with arakaali's fang. HC lvl 100 Rank 1 was easy reached too.

In [3.15] Expedition the tipping level-point of HoA lowered from lvl 31 down to lvl 29, enabling building in different weapons as the former almost meta +3 CIP or +2 triggerwands and different amulets.

The big buff [3.16] to [3.18]

One league later in [3.16] Scourge the damage of HoA-virulences was buffed around 25%. The new awakened gems were upgrading the HoA totally awesome too.

The auras determination, grace, and as well discipline were hard buffed in relation to stats on gear. Ghost dance and divine shield were introduced on the tree for Hybrids and CI's. Armour overall was huge buffed 50% against bigger hits.

With the nerfs of Glancing Blows, to the memory vault, to the blindings and blue nightmare the Allstars turned into the reformations of the full-block-editions.
Tempestshield was introduced and shaped the HoA as autobomber.

Balaar reached with HoA the new poe-record in speed-levelling.

In total the damage reached 90% more damage as one league before. 24M.

In [3.17] Astramentis / Siege of the Atlas managuardian leaderboard rank 1 was climbed again after 3 days.

The crawler raises 200% [3.19] to [3.23]

In [3.19] Kalandra poisonminions got buffed around 200%. The King of Sting in his mix of 60% physical and 40% chaos-damage was full prepared to raise again into s-tier damage like the fast hitting SRS Summon Raging Spirits. The hexes temporal chains and despair were buffed imba into the top. Skin of the Lords and many uniques were buffed. 4w socketed triad grips became the one and only b.i.s. So cast-while-channelling trigger and setups were getting more and more interesting and were urgent needed two leagues later for 90 HoA-virulences. The beloved classic balls of lightning needed to be removed, the offerings too. In maps the minion-offence-mastery walked in with unholy might with 40% more damage - another step into 40M damage, without headhunter, without meta-expensive gear.

In [3.19] the Necro got the perfect 8th HoA-link-support deluxe with "unnatural strength" in her ascendancy, so I optimized and introduced the new HoA-Necro - The Arachnophilia Allstars.

Also in [3.19] the CI-Trickster was buffed extreme tanky, but I optimized the other ascendancies and waited until [3.23] to publish this new tank at last.

In [3.21] Crucible the Pathfinder joined the Allstars-team with 30% more chaos-damage of withers and her easy 100% uptime of utility-flasks.


New defences

With some small buffs in the reservation-efficiencies and capacities and ressources of spell suppression moving from gear into the tree and the nerfings to the melding of the flesh-jewel, and reacting to the ele-penetrations of most of the Ubers, the build switched in it's 3th large cluster, the 5th and the 6th medium cluster and travelled into the eastern world of the tree into 100% spell suppression.

Molten shell was halfed. Recovery and substain needed to be fixed - and the graven's secret was detected.


100 virulences - 100M damage

In [3.23] Affliction the helmet-enchant and alternate skillqualities were nerfed and removed, on the other side default HoA-skill-quality was transformed into virulences and so in result the amulet ashes of the stars was very nice buffed.

With the new ball lightnings of orbiting 110 and with the new quality to storm burst 120 and more virulences are reliable stacked in 0.3 secs and continuous the highest es on hit with the traditional watcher's eye is triggered beside.

Poisonous concoction was chosen as the new easy levellingskill.

The final HoA-tipping-point lvl 34, up to lvl 39, was claimed. The poe-engine hardcaps the crawler's dps-dot.





2M

The second keystone of totally combined 2M arachnophobiatic views in united 4 arachnophil ascendancies-forums dropped on the 22.4.24 in Necropolis.



HoA arrives in 250M

In [3.24] the former default HoA-virulences- generator stormburst was happy buried in peace and good mood in the graveyards of the Necropolis. After many leagues cyclone is reborn again as valuable channelskill for 100 virulences. The ball lightnings of orbiting and homing tornados of turbulences fit perfect into the cyclone movement skill-set with full damage-uptime. The golden rule is now not needed before lvl 90.

The returning tattoos buffed the build in value of 5-10 passives. The new unique herald-ring circle of ambition was introduced for smaller fine suffixes. The changes to unholy might and the sin's rebirth-flask grant more easy withers and frees up one more jewel slot.

The Adorned was unbugged and the HoA-poison-setup (abyss-jewels / belt) turned total flexible. The +2 dark seer fits great for fast tankyness.
With the +2 Maata's Teaching sceptre I united chaos-scaling with HoA-crits as next multiplicator imba on top in low-budget.

It seems that the mageblood turns much easier to farm each league and it teams up great with the 100% global defences by Skin of the Lords. With the changes to the sapphire flask the melding and 85-90% all max-resis returned again in lategame.

The Champ arrives in the team and can stack high 95% flat damagereductions and 250 k armour.



[3.25] Settlers - Half a billion

Spell block, ward and endurance charges were buffed, in exchange determination was nerfed. Taste of Hate became useable for 25% more fast ele-ehp. Asenath's gloves for more clearspeed with chainexplosions in maps were added. The max HoA-skill-lvl 40 is claimed with the new +8 amulets. For the new t-17 standard the immortal minion fits simply perfect.

The time arrived to Jugg. Great regenerations in all juice.
Hiero- and Gladiator-variations were pathed, last the Scion launched and the circle of the Allstars closed.


Phrecia

In "The Legacy of Phrecia" cheapest geared the build reached 660M, up to 1.1 billion damage in the herald-event-ascendancy.


[3.26] Secrets of the Atlas: A full billion

In Secrets of the Atlas the buffed buddy Animate Guardian sides us. Dps and ehp are doubled.
200 M in lowest budget top tanky and up to 1.4 B are stinged.


Meta-ready?

With these huge buffs to movement, qol, defences and damage the Herald of Agony is probably meta-minion ready again. I don't see since [3.24] another minion-build to scale up better. B.i.s. geared in high-budget 1360M damage are stinged in tanky 300k-1M ehp.

Holy Relics reach only 25% of the capacities in damage and only 50% of the defences of HoA. Spectres are squishy in t-17. BaMas are nice, but clunky. HoA is as downside a bit more complex to build, but needs only a much lower budget.

The Arachnophobia Allstars are using a special combination of gear like the shield Aegis aurora and Skin of the lords. High buffed global defences multiply your Es, your flasks, the aura determination and triple with grace.

The damage

Offensive it's very effective and balanced with it's crawling immortal scorpion-minion. In higher minion-skill-levels the herald of chaos is probably the highest damage-scaling minion in Wraeclast and is buffed into more than a billion dps by stacking medium clusters of "pure agony". Heralds and minions are often chosen for their quality of life and automatic damage-qualities. Everything dies around you. Your herald finishs your job while you yourself are already relaxed looting.

The eight useable ascendancies alternate 30%-40% in damage, tankyness and recovery and have their own specialities.

Choose your class depending on your poe-experiences, your playstyle and your favourite poe-content:

Without much poe-experiences start relaxed into PoHoA as Trickster for total best tankyness.
With good poe-experiences and the know-how to avoid sometimes dot go Necro to kick'n sting more damage (or choose the "total tank"-pob).

I solo-levelled Necro deathless to 100 in full juiced red delirium-maps with increased-swarms and density of full buffed exarch-altars.
Earlier I played lvl100 Guardian myself with t16 red maps, heists and deeper delve.
I played Pathfinder to lvl 100 and Trickster deathless in lvl 90-100 in full delirium-beyond-juiced 10k wisps-affliction. As Champ lvl 90-99 were done with 2 deaths, relaxed in low 3k es, in allflames-necropolis high juiced maps, b2b, rogueexiles, delirium and beyond. Jugg died 4x in lvl 80-100 in max-juided beyond - delirium - ritual - ultimatum mapping.
While most other builds go only for 20-200k ehp, this build's focus on defences, enabling 1M - to inf* ehp and lvl 100 in all content.

HC viable

Also without top-gear: Large es/ block is most safe against poe's lags and disconnects.
HC lvl 100 reached

Ranged and melee playstyle combined

The best out of both worlds - smooth moving of cyclone combinated with ranged spells

On maps with the No-Mana-Recovery-Mod you have to take in an enduring-mana bottle and must map slow or reroll.

Heavy ground damage can still kill you (exception is our immunity to burning, shocking and caustic ground).

Overall not best, not cheap and not easy leaguestarter!
Shield and armour are expensive in the first days of last leagues.
In leaguestart often alternative 2c gear is needed in these slots because of pricefixers/ high prices.
High prizes are often leaguestart prizes. Ongoing in league they will change. Support and demand changes through the first weeks much in trade.
Not cheap when you max your watcher's eye, amulet and voices - but still much cheaper and more flexible as other meta-builds.

In Ssf HoAg is strong extreme not optimized, but much more difficult to collect the CI-unique-gear, HoA-rings and clusters.

Complex to max - not easy to optimize all mechanics, you will need your time and some know-how to scale HoA-damage, CI-recovery, trigger, keystones, jewels and clusters and to balance the manareservations. But as result you learn in this build almost everything about many core-mechanics, global defences and tanky keystones in the whole northern and eastern tree.

When you take the tanky nodes "only" 50 - 500 millions singletarget shaper-dps. That is more than enough for allubers. You will rush through the maps with your 150% added movement and 42-142 mill. piercing and forking mapping-damage. You have no downtimes of your damage because you are tank and you have ranged DD's, dot and autobomb-damage. But sorry, you don't oneshot the Ubers compared to the glascannons and only-bossers in the neighboorships.

Because the poe-engine hardcaps the HoA-lvl and dot-damage not easy to buff above 1100M damage.

Here starts the journey into the fine arts of 500M dps HoA-crawling.

Produce with your own poisoning and fast hitting spells Agony-virulences.

Increase the HoA-base damage by increasing HoA-skill-levels with gear, empower and awakened supports.

The HoA-base-damage and attackspeed is multiplied by the total number of HoA-virulences. So the key is to insert more large clusters to insert more medium clusters of more 'pure agony'-notables for more max HoA-virulences.

Insert soon and as early as possible max 6-9x medium clusters "pure agony".

They are our leaders for damage.

Virulences are a complete unique multiplier for Herald of Agony.
Each adds +5 maximal HoA-virulences. Basic +20% miniondamage is increased beyond.

Further the HoA-gemquality 23% and Ashes of the stars 30% add 13 virulences. You can reach fast 98 up to 113 virulences.

80 counted virulences quadruple the damage compared to slow 40.
In the lategame with more voices-clusters your damage is tenfolded with 113 virulences compared to 40.

Check the counter in the green HoAg-Aura-Icon for the needed continuous 60-120 virulences-stacks singletarget.
Alternative check in pob the hit rates for maximal poison stacks of your combined cyclone, ball-lightnings, 3 tornados and other skills. Calculate them without increased poison-durations, but instead increase them by 20%, adding a thumbed 0.4 sec for the delayed fadings of HoA-virulences. Double them manually for the golden rule. Alternative compare the gained es on hit-rating.


■ Increased damage ■

200% default increased miniondamage is stacked with the 2 herald-rings circle of ambition/ of nostalgia. With the clusters and supportgems 300% are increased. Above higher increasements have not much effectivity.


■ HoA - Poison ■

Now we scale up the HoA-poison until we reach the poe-engine's hardcap of dot at 35.7 M.

■ Get 4-5 rare yellow ghastly jewels with "15% minion chance to poison on hit"
■ 2 of them are doubled by the belt darkness enthroned belt
■ Begin with the HoA-support awakened unbound ailments, but later around 70M total damage, around the hardcap of 35M poisondot, switch unbound ailments to predator, damage on full life, vile toxins or other supports.

From here and onwards the clusters, passives, HoA-supports, poison and crits often need to be calculated individually. How much tankyness, es, ehp and qol is valuable in your favourite played poe-content? Do you reach the meta-possibilities of the mageblood? Which b.i.s.-pieces, voices and unique medium-clusters can you snipe, farm, afford or craft on your own? That are the factors.

100M can be reached fast with 3 curses and some HoA-crits, for 150M you need strong voices, to almost oneshot the Ubers in 300M use only best gear, and a bit tankyness is exchanged against 600M.

Physical Crits

HoA's original 60% physical-damage could impale with rotten claws-clusters and impale-support.
Minion-bleedings could be scaled with abyss-jewels, renewal, pride, vulnerability and tempest rising boots.

Elemental Crits

Critical ignites could be procced with added fire damage, raze and pillage and renewal. Cold-damage with hatred, grips of the counsil and as utility freezes with hypothermia support, Lightning with shockings and renewal.

Dot-multiplier, EE, exposures, the fitting curses, converting triad grips, skitterbots and penetrations would buff beyond of course.

But in 100% chaos-conversion with withers and poison HoA-scaling remain by now the best.

You exchange life-ehp and the holy life-flask into 100% chaos-resistances. A lot tankyness and qol in many chaos-map- and altarmods, against Sirus, Chayula, Katharina and Delirium- and Beyond-bosses, in Abyssals and Ultimatums is gained.

As CI you often balance defences into stacking auras and recovery into keystones. In this style you can wear much unique gear. Access to many special CI-ES-mechanics like Aegis aurora's recovery, Watcher's eye es on hit, Ghost Dance, Divine Shield and Frost Shield is opening.

Chaos Inoculation is also efficient to use the golden rule jewel to double HoA-virulences without wasting stats on helmet or boots.

Ghost Dance | Evasion

Up to 20k ev is reached by your buffed grace. That is with blindings and elusive 80% evasionchance.
You take 1 out of 5 hits.

Less hits are taken, less recovery is needed. Together this combination manifests a layer of immortality - you improve 2M to 20M to inf* M Ehp.

Then Ghost Dance recovers buffed 500 es and more when hit, x 3, so it's equal to 1.5k-2k es, perfect filling the gaps of the evasion-, block- and spellblock-layers in damagepeaks. The deterministic arrangement of recovery and evasion compensates the downtimes of undeterministic blockings.

As bonus this combination is trippling the remaining capacities of your molten shell, frostshield and ward for the big punchs, peaks and crits.

You cross the keynote on the path on the tree.

Ghost Dance is best-in-slot in high density.

Divine shield

offers much regenerations, especially when they are most needed against bleedings and vulnerability-curses.

With Thread of Hope large radius in the Templar area you can fast activate the keynotes Divine Shield, Glancing Blows, Runebinder, 2x points Sovereignity and Redemption.


Magebane

Perfect to reach fast and cheap 100% spell suppression. Take a look into the section "checklists stats" --> 100% spell suppression". Eg with Magebane stack some dex for some spell suppression when needed. Without magebane simply switch in elegant form on a cluster. Best against U-Eater.


Lethe Shade

Perfect against not blockable damagetypes. When you reached 95% ailments-immunities it's a strong addition against the uber-dot-bosses.

It fills up the small gaps until the next recovering es on block was triggered, until you moved over a ground-effect, until frost shield staged up, and until maximal es on hit was procced by the watcher's eye.

Iron Reflexes

The tipping point for exchanging evasion into doubling substain and physical damage reductions.

Determination and Grace will take you together with Iron Reflexes to 150000 armour.

Not 15000. Yes 150000.

This means you get 3000 Energyshield on all your blockings with the Aegis Aurora-Shield and block is never limited. This is big buffed by 140% increased global defences (armour, evasion, energyshield) of the Skin of Lord and increased aura-effects.

Best optimized with stibnite-, jade- and a basalt-flask.
Good synergies with graven's secret belt or melding of the flesh, in set-ups with the keystones Divine shield and Glancing blows and also in the Champion-Ascendancy.
Regret with 0 evasion Ghost Dance.

In maps Iron Reflexes can be fine combinated with frostwalls linked to cws and meatshields like phantasms.

You find an optimized passive tree and item-tab with mageblood and pathing on the tree into iron reflexes scrolling up in the pob.

Iron Reflexes is the choice to facetank U-Shaper, U-Sirus and more high physical-damage as well as blockable fast spell-hits.


Explanation high vs medium Armour

The shaper slam and a beam of sirus with big physical hits are fine examples for differences of effective high 100k armour beside the doubled es on block.

Take a look in the ar-calculations on mitigiated damage and rules of thumb: The allstars take with double armour minimum 40% less damage with only one damage-mod up. When shaper crits it is about 50% less total physical damage taken because of the dimishing returns of armour, and with more damage modifications these differences raise further.

Take some #% increased armour notes on clusters like stacking "battle-hardened" or a vivinsect unset ring socketing grace lvl 26+. You will lift off to 200000 armour and more and will get 4000+ ES on block. But at the same time you will loose damage and other defences.

Without downsides wearers of the meta mageblood-belt reach 100k - 0.5M armour, 2k-10k/ es on block with well rolled flasks.







Wicked Ward

is most often starting recharging in fullblock-editions, high evasion, 100% ailment-immunities, without used chaosskills of the +1 chaos-mastery and of course after using vaal discipline too.
Can be buffed with the ar+es mastery "increases to armour also apply to es-recharge by 20%" to compensate the downsides by 80%.

Great in slower lower levels, not much effective in the fast lategame against aoe, dot and swift bosses. Perfect as Trickster.


Zealot's Oath

would be needed to transform regenerations of bottled faith, enduring cry or purifying flame.
Best as jugg, good as Guardian. Not needed without.


Glancing Blows

... when all defensive layers are builded up sometimes interesting.
Decreases your damagereductions and capacities of molten shell and frostshield - but when you have high evasion, high armour, 100% spell suppression, +max resis, frostwalls, meatshields, high absorption charges of graven's secret belt, or as tanky champ or trickster, it's for full 75% blockings in some set-ups best recovery with the aegis aurora and enables to push out tempest shield and grace too.


Ghost Reaver

could be used with the flask "Vessel of Vinktar" and "Ball Lightnings" lvl 20 for 900 es-leech or supported by + "Added Chaos Damage" + "Es-Leech" with "Ethereal Feast" for 1400 es-leech.

As Necro with "Ethereal Feast" + instant-leech-mastery and the necromantic minion-leech "Bone Barrier" interesting for continuous 700-1500 es-leech too.

Good synergies with ring variation Shavronne's Revelation.


Resolute Technique

... can be used melee-style cycloning for 10 more generated virulences, es on hit and withers.


Runebinder

offers as keynote 10 more virulences singletarget with storm brands while moving, that's a lot fast damage. You can activate it with a large-radius thread of hope too.




Damage: +6 HoA-lvls are possible with Skin of the loyals (2x+1 to socketed, +2 to minion gems)

+2 The dark seer shadow sceptre, +2 energyshield and mana per level, adds convincing tanky +700 es, malediction and blindings in the mix with awesome damage and a bit better manamanagement. Total top tanky 25% more ehp.

Finally in lategame, when we prefer focussing into attractive 100M-600M dps, the +2 Maata's Teaching sceptre turns b.i.s. somewhere around having strong voices, tasteful selected small clusters for a perfect manamanagement, using the third curse assasin`s mark, and reaching capacities to invest into high HoA-crit-scaling.

Ordinary we start before with a cheap +3 Cold Iron point dagger. It's our low-budget-taxi to the next tipping point HoA-lvl 23/28/29/34.

Weapon-Type

For cyclone you need a 1-hand melee weapon base-type (sceptres, swords, daggers, etc.), for spells all weapontypes and wands fit.

Weapon-Quality / Implicit

With cyclone the implicit resolute technique burst more HoA-virulences.
The harvestcraft increases aoe on the weapon for spells or b.i.s. the increased aoe-corruption-implicit is chosen.

20 melee speedful spiders can add a wonderful aggressive style for shining clean screens in a arachnophobia dreamteam when wanted. Double damagefractions of ranged and melee minions are possible. The dream-team of scorpions and spiders is united!

Arakaali's fang is interesting before you get the third large cluster and full HoA-virulences.
Blinding and knockbacking spiders are teaming in with the dirty sting-king for full witherings and damage-uptime.

Let the spiders dance!

The spiders are fast. Early clearspeed in labyrinthine, winding, angled, crampy dungeon-maps, in sanctums, against proxy-shields and to apply full 15 withers.


Use fast 2× unearth (/or desecrate) for needed corpses, then 1x flask writhing jar and an aoe-skill like flamedash / storm brands / cyclone to raise the spiders.
Take desecrate on the second (right) mouse button. Push it two times. Open your Writhing Jar – bottle. Then at last, in the moment your worm lift off and is flying into free air, push instant an aoe-skill. I personally placed it on the middle mouse-wheel. This works best.



Withering Touch – (Awakened) Unbound Ailments - Melee-Splash-Support / Multistrike


Against the last bosses like Sirus, Shaper, Maven change melee-splash to multistrike and unbound ailments to feeding frenzy.

Wormphilia - raise your spiders

When your crawler, heist members or Einhar are too often killing the worms before you, storm burst, ice nova or storm brand works better with their 360°-er aoe.
Also using predator and marking bosses makes raising spiders easier.

Fullgeared you'll get up to 1000 ES on 50% fullblock and 75 % spellblock. This can work 10x and more each second, blocking is not limited.
Also extreme lags, oneshotting disconnects, freezed networks, framehangers and all other damagepeaks will fail to kill you. Your big block heals and recovers unlimited.
On the peak of the top the +5% max cold-resis are good geared further buffed with the flask taste of hate or jewel melding of the flesh to +85-90% all max-resis.

The shield-implicit

Added Spell Block and Phys taken as Chaos / Cold are great.

Graven's Secret cloth belt let you recoup up to 60-70% damage of elemental hits.
Get the 5th powercharge "infused" in the ranger-area or also the 6th in the witch-area. Charges are best generated with the shield malachais loop instead aegis. Or in maps with "mage hunter" on the large clusters on block and against singletargets with Assassin's mark or skill Power charges on crit-support. For always full charges slip into the Ralakesh Impatience-boots.
For more recoupings you no longer need grace and ghost dance. The recoupings will fill up perfect the short small gaps and of defensive layers like es on hit.

Further the belt has good synergies with the keystones divine shield, iron reflexes and glancing blows.
Favorite graven's secret best with the implicit of elemental resistances or increased aura-effects of determination.

With stacking tattoos for chill & freeze-avoidances and spell suppression the boots-slot is often free to choose (since [3.24]).

As cheap starter rainbow strides add high 20% spellblock. With a bit more stacked spellblock you can choose flexible alternatives instead the large-spellblock-clusters or deactivate tempest shield. Also often b.i.s. as pathfinder, champ, jugg and trickster.

Tanky Charges

Use a small or an unique megalomaniac cluster "enduring composure" for endurance charges and switch the Elixier of the unbroken circle to a rare ward flask.


Tanky clusters, tanky auras

Take 1-2 more small cluster sublime form or self control, and /or a reservation- / mana-mastery / amulet-anoint charisma, then use "flesh and stone" (or "purity of ice").

Switch out the squishy chaos-golem and clunky unearth + spirit offering and skill instead into tankyness.


Tear up the wall


Blocking with whole walls is a level-up in safety and protection.

In a warding basis you can combine your skills with freaky frostwalls - linked to cwdt lvl 1 or cast when stunned they are autotriggered and simply the best against all types of ranged attacking enemies.

I use them also for the encounters in delve and for heists. In these situations frostwalls are BiS.

Frost walls length is fine on lvl 1. Dont build them too long and strong with higher levels when you want sometimes to walk around without cyclone and phasing.


Tanky Es-reg

Frostshield binded to cwc, cws or to cwdt adds 1000-4000 es / sec as buffer. Choose the skill-level which feels comfortable.

Take the tanky Bottled faith, or cwdt/cws/cwc Purifying flame or Enduring cry with Zealot's Oath for es-regeneration and 50% curse-immunities.

Take in maps the soul ripper flask to spam vaal discipline.


Tanky spheres, knockbacks and cc

Control the crowds with the gravity-effects, hinders and interruptions of void sphere. Best lvl 1, quality 20. Good to link to cwdt.

Push back the blind mob out of your frostshield.
Add in a tattoo for knockbacks (or in your cwc-set Glascial Cascade). It synergizes and stacks great with temporal chains, with hinderings of tornados or hinderings on a tattoo, with maim on a tattoo, or also with chills and freezes i.e. of frostshield. Full stacked cc you can watch the mobs in slow-mo.


Tanky curses

You can turn in maps tanky enfeeble in your cws-links or on hit on gloves. Temporal chains and punishment are tanky too as well.


Innocent spirits / Meatshields


I myself personally would never, never, never advice to misuse the 11 cute souls of the summon-phantasms-supports as cannon fodder - but it's a tormenting fact that they would block and gulp thousands of hits in your place to guard your way safe to 100 when you heartless sacrifice them. Please not place them in your skills- or HoAg-supports. ;-)

Cws/ Cwdt triggered Absolution, Vaal skeletons, a Chaos golem buffing feeding frenzy or even Wither totems also meatshield great.

As downside they use capacities of your frostshield.


Tanky Bone Offering

As Necro or as Scion full attackblockings are best obtained with Bone Offering, top to turn into a never-get-hit-style. Switch the ascendancy "mistress of sacrifice" in.


No bosses, no t-17

When you are not a very experienced player, combat the hardest content like t-17 bosses and rippy mods, U-Cortex and The Feared on your level-ups.
They remain dangerous. One too slow reactiontime or one not known aoe-attack are not welcomed in these final levels.

All other content you can do deathless and in fast playstyle every time. You don't depend on 5-ways, breachstones or other carrying-services like other builds.

Far the best is the elevated prefix "Unaffected by poison" on rare boots to counter the golden rule's downsides.

Switch to a +2 life / +2 energyshield dark seer sceptre.
Use a life or hybrid-flask beside.

A recovery-mastery like circle of life turns attractive too.

Or switch out 2-3 medium clusters instead into HoA-poison (300% incr Uber-dot-cap), HoA-crits and the +1 chaos-mastery and go without the Golden Rule.

The chainreaction | The Recovery-question

Aegis aurora is always best in high density, but remains often also against fast spellhits of most ubers and for 85%+ max-resis with melding of the flesh the one and only b.i.s. as CI.

But you reach good recovery already without aegis aurora when wanted:

■ necro: minion leech, ethereal fest, instant leech, when CI: ghost reaver

So hybrid recoveries can be quite interesting when you focus on farming u-shapers and other dot-content:


■ Full hybrid with the stasis prison: when you get it cheap Stasis Prison is the armour-variation for some fitting poe-content without much physical damage in which high armour and infinitive** es on block is not effective, like U-Maven, to recoup life.

Boss Hunting - The Ubers

The singletargets

The Ubers are designed as final endgame-goals - not to facetank, not to block, not to evade, disabling your recovering, and allover penetrating your resistances with oneshot-aoe's and deathly fast instant dot.
That means also you can counter ubers a bit better with 1000M cast-on-death or other glascannon-builds. But the Allstars do the job the same with some ups and downs well.

While in ordinary content of PoE the Allstars build up multiple layers of all global defences and can facetank almost all the pinnacle-bosses, against Ubers the balancing into flat damagereductions, dot-reductions, max-resis, damage, damage-uptime and movement is mandatory.

You will need every slot and every implicit optimized and also the know-how of all ubers' attacks. You need against the Ubers strong gear to scale the HoA-damage even more up in the dps-race against their increasing aoe-s filling the uber-arenas (Maven, Sirus).

Against the Ubers major attacks maximal hit taken-numbers are often as important as ehp in the pob.

Against the Ubers dot is very effective, set pob-configurations to Ubers to calculate the extended poison-hardcap above 35M correct.


In my experiences it's probably most easy to reach the farming-quality-status against:

Uber-Cortex > Uber-Exarch > U-Eater, U-Sirus > UU-Elder > U-Shaper

Hunt U-Cortex on a level-up if you do not want to fear the exp-penalty.

Ubers remain rippy when you react one time not fast enough. It is common when you die in the first tries of these endgame bosses. When you know their attacks and how to move out of their damagepeaks you will kick them nice and hard back.


Defences

Mandatory basic defences

■ You need also after all defensive layers full maxed-out Es against their oneshots: 4200 es and more or hybrid i.e. 3.5k es + 1.8k life

■ You need reliable with enough mana-reg triggered skills for maximal es on hit

■ When useful you should craft the fitting bossboots and uber-helmet: nearby to the unique pinnacle bosses the eater and exarch-implicits can be in all the specialisations increased by 50%, and sapped ground debuffs for 6% flat damagereductions. But turning hybrid with boots "unaffected by poison" for +2k life is much more recommended: take a look into next spoiler "hybrid".



■ Use fully all the league-mechanics!!


More special defences

■ Overcapped resis and bleeding-avoidances are not needed.

■ Against Sirus you need corrupted blood immunities on a jewel, or with mageblood on a flask, and CI / maxed chaos-resis.
Not needed against other ubers.

■ Against many Ubers-Bosses with much dot/aoe-damage (Uber-Maven, Sirus, Shaper) Lethe shade is awesome tanky when you avoid 98-100% ailments of their main-damagetypes.

■ Divine Shield is not much valuable against U-Maven, switch it i.e. to Lethe Shade.

■ the melding flesh for +max 85%, better +90% all elemental resistances are recommended against Uber Maven and Uber Cortex.
With maxed cold-resis also the flask Taste of Hate increases your elemental ehp 25%.

Or add instead the specialized max-resis:

■ Stacked armour with iron reflexes is great against shaper, u-elder, sirus, cortex, also nice for recovery against the fast spellhits of Maven and Exarch.

■ Maximize individual armour of the flasks in your actual pob with jade + stibnit flasks.


Flask suffixes and prefixes | Ailments

You should have reached 100% permament:

■ ignite immunities against sirus, exarch, atziri, maven
■ freeze-ailment-immunities against the cold-dealers shaper, elder, ueber elder, maven, aul, sirus
■ shock immunities against world-eater, sirus, cortex, maven


In reverse you don't need:

■ ignite-immunities against eater, cortex, aul
■ freeze-immunities against exarch, cortex
■ shock immunities against exarch.

■ You don't need the anti-bleeding flask-suffix against shaper, sirus (but corrupted blood immunity), exarch, cortex. Against by the maven-brain spawned bosses rng and only sometimes needed.

■ Overcapped resis are not needed.

■ You need curse immunities only against Ueber-Atziri. Not needed in "The Feared".

■ Against the fast hits of Sirus and Exarch the prefix flagellants charges gain when hit is fitting. Against slow hard hitters like Cortex, Arziri, Shaper other prefixes fit.



Auras

Switch out:

1) Discipline

When you follow the hybrid 3.5k es + 1.8k life in the spoiler above against no-chaos-ubers, you can most easy balance out discipline to switch in "purity of ice" for the melding of the flesh, "flesh and stone" or "petrified blood" and valuable variations guided below.

2) Grace

The Ubers don't attack much with classical attack-hits and use mostly degen, aoe, penetrations, ground effects, spells. So you could balance out the aura "grace" and it's manamanagement like "sublime form" and "ghost dance".

But, at the same time and on the other hand at last not least not to forget: grace + evasion remain totally helpful in the combination with iron reflexes (pathed or on sol) for more ar and es on block with aegis aurora against physical-ubers, or with es when hit of ghost dance.

3) Determination

Determination / Armour alone, unbuffed without Iron Reflexes, is not very effective against some big slams of u-shaper and could be switched to "flesh and stone" against Shaper as well as "molten shell" to "immortal call" or "steelskin". But as downside you loose es on block of aegis aurora.

4) Tempestshield

Switching out tempestshield is well possible when you get more spellblock and shock-immunities on tree and clusters.


Instead switch in:

Flesh and Stone for 22-28% flat dr 'nearby'.

Petrified Blood as Hybrid with lifeflask 32% flat dr.

Clarity for mana-reg and Watcher's eye mods

Purity of Ice with "Pure guile" on a cluster for +20 dex and blindings, best for melding of the flesh or taste of hate, +60 cold-resis, and to raise all +max-resis simultan +5% to 90% - but in most cases rare jewels +2 coldresis instead are better.



More possibilities, not often recommended:

Vitality as Hybrid some reg, also for es with Zealot's Oath.

Aspect of the Crab against Shaper.

Purity of Elements for +150 resis for melding of the flesh and ailment immunities.

Purity of Fire with "Pure might" on a cluster against Exarch.

Uber Dot | Lethe Shade

Many ground effects can kill you with their aoe- and dot damage merciless in half a second.

Sirus storm ele-mix puddles are generated after each 25% phase of the fight exactly under your feets. Cortex spams lethal physical aoe-puddles. Maven uses imba-high cold-dot aoe`s.

Lethe Shade can be used with 90-100% ailment-avoidances for much tankyness and longer reaction-times beside our 85%+ max-resis.

The minor pantheon of Ralakesh is used for 25% further less phys-dot while cycloning against Cortex and Eater.

Some of the sirus, maven, cortex, exarch and shaper groundeffects you should move around, but you have a much longer time to react against.



Flat Damagereductions | Damageshiftings | Iron Reflexes

Evasion and attackblock are not very helpful against the uber-hard hitters.
The flat spell-damagereductions shine.


Stacking armour, attackblock and evasion is against ubers not optimal effective as simply stacking more flat dr.

Flat Damagereductions against Ubers

Especially against ubers more flat dr or also damageshiftings are recommended.

Physical

Iron Reflexes is recommended against big hits like Shaper Slams (30% phys).

Increase the physical maximal hit taken when you want to facetank the outliner melee-attack U-Shaper-slam.

Keystone Iron Reflexes

Against the physical damage dealers Uber-Shaper (Slams) and i.e. fast spellhit-beams of Uber-Sirus Iron Reflexes as integrated keystone in Skin of the Lords or pathed in the tree is maxing phys-dr / physical max hit taken 20-30% and is doubling beside the es on block-recovery.

Please individually calculate the optimal flask-set-up: jade > stibnit > granite > basalt

Also armour scales better when you use grace and push out instead determination, uncompromising and ghost dance when needed.

When iron reflexes is easy to reach on the passive tree in your ascendancy, scroll up in the pob-trees to use the alternative tree "iron reflexes".


The additional phys-dr in the watcher's eye determination-mod is extreme helpful (10%) and with a not-alternated chaos golem increased (7%).
Phys taken as chaos is possible on the rare helmet's implicit (8% phys).

Elemental

With melding of the flesh +max cold-resis are effective halfing much ele-damage (50-60% ele).
But the penetrations-outliner-spells keep being ineffective defended by +max resis (25/60% lowered to 5/10% ele).

Elemental Penetrations | Damage shiftings

The penetrating damage of Atziri's flameblasts (10% Fire penetration, equal up to effective double ele-damage taken) or The Shaper's projectiles and bullet hell (25-40% Cold penetration, effective up to 5x more cold-damage taken) passes resistances and are feared as some of the most dangerous damagetypes in poe.

Taste of hate converts fire+lightning ele to cold-ele taken (15-20% ele).

The timeless Militant faith can be interesting too for Transcendence, visit the jewel-variations and "Exarch 1000 suns" in the "Examples Uber-Oneshots".

When you use the variations Purity of Ice / of Elements, on the relating watcher's eye-purity-mods the physical taken as elemental damage-shiftings are double effective (10-12%).

Eg the bodyarmour loreweave or incandescent heart are possible to gear with some adjustements against penetrations.

Beyond it's not easy to convert higher parts of incoming damagetypes against the uber's penetrations.

Often you take 2-6 balls at once against U-Shaper.


5-9 single balls can be tanked.

With spellblock much more, by rng up to 48, can be blocked and recovered.


Exarch 1000 suns

Each fireball 17373 fire damage, cannot be spellblocked or surpressed.

Often multiple balls hit you at once.

With molten shell and frost shield 4-5 can be taken, skilled as tank 12, with vaal molten shell another 3-8 more.

Summoned frostwalls, totems or skeletons are nice shields against these magmaballs.
Cast them in far range to be not close to the explosions.
Avoid exarch's ground-runes.

You can heal up with es on hit and es on block against the minotaurier, but he hits hard also.

Variation Ward

Stack 90% resis and some high ward on rare gloves / boots / helmet to tank more suns.

Stack further 85% more flat dr, or the following Transcendence-setup, and use the flask Olroth Resolve to tank 4 secs all suns.


Variation Transcendence: Tank 100 suns

For bosses like Exarch in his phase 1000 suns, Maven's Memory game and 'Take this', Ueber-Atziri's Flame Blasts, or also U-Shaper's balls, who are dealing mainly elemental-damage, you can beyond take in a timeless jewel "militant faith", glorify Maxarius, for the keynote "transcendence".



Your armour, best buffed with Iron Reflexes and /or by mageblood increased flask-effects, transforms to instead 90% elemental damage reductions. 90% max resis are added with purity of ice and more rare +2 cold-resi-jewels, resulting into total 97% elemental reductions.




Maven Memory Game

122-164k, separated in 3 x 41-54k mixed-ele-hit, not to spellblock, +5k dot.

Until [3.24] easy to facetank with the HoA-allstars before the nerfs to molten shell, divergent frostshield and flat ele-dr flasks.

Now 90% ele-resis, 95% stacked flat dr, hybrid high life+es, +petrified blood, + a life-mastery like "melding", frost shield lvl 21 and immortal call combined with 4-5 endurance charges are needed.

Not easy to facetank outside the champ- and trickster-ascendancy or without the jewel "militant faith" for the keynote "transcendence", see "Exarch 1000 suns".

When you wanna facetank, defend with 90% flat phys-dr like guided in "checklist stats" --> "flat dr", especially with endurance charges, iron reflexes, selfcasted molten shell and frost shield.

Optimized you can tank 1-7 u-slams.

Without Iron reflexes combinate Immortal call with Endurance charges in place of molten shell.





HoA-supports | Skills

■ Change out the pierce/ awakened fork-gem of your herald-of-agony. Vile toxins or withering touch are prefered as green supports.

■ Best is predator for more damage! Predator overwrites the HoA-Ai often from HoA-movements to HoA-attacks for more damage-uptime.

■ Change out the useless convocation for eg flamedash.

■ Selfcasting Molten Shell, Vaal Molten Shell and Frostshield makes you tanky in phases like Shaper's bullet hell, Exarch's Thousand Suns, Sirus Meteors.

■ Use the curses: despair and temporal chains.
You can prepare the curses with arcanist brand before the ubers awaken.
When ubers are on low life punishment and culling strike are valuable too.

■ Fullchannel ball lightnings / tornados of elemental turbulences / storm burst already before the ubers awaken.

■ Alternative:

Selfcasted or triggered tornados, storm brands, firestorms or void spheres deal damage also nonstop while you are moving in the arenas (equal to around 20-50M dot-dps beside the peak-hits-dps).

Storm burst - awakened cwc - ball lightning of static - firestorm

■ Because most ubers do not move often (only sirus and eater zap a lot), ball lightning of static is effective for high HoA-virulences-uptime.




Dps

It's the Ubers. Yes. The more, the best.

■ 20-30M damage should have been reached.

■ Around 40-50M you can instant-skip some phases of some ubers (exarch).

■ Against the Ubers poison-dot is very effective, because you will need to move a lot.
Set pob-configurations to Ubers to calculate the three times extended poison-hardcap correct.

■ Full cap withers: Use sin's rebirth, withering step, jewel balance of terror + selfcast despair or jewel glorious vanity+transformed passive ritual for the optimal 15 stacks.

■ When maven wittness bosses like shaper, she sometimes supports them with high multiple 25% regenerations. The audio-sign is that Maven shouts "Live longer!". Then do high damage nonstop to kill them.
In lower levels prepare "frostbomb" to debuff these regenerations - for example for shaper with his high hp-pools.

■ Use all the league-mechanics!!



Movement

flamedash is recommended or with other sources of withers than withering step use frostblink

■ Don't facetank their biggest mainattacks, degen-effects and aoe-s.

Dangerous Mapbosses

Only one unique boss of the vaal-side areas killed me two times. His name is something like stormbringer or stormdrinker and he uses a very fast leap slam attack. (I guess, while he is jumping and slaming the minions and lightning balls cannot target him. I suggest there were also vaal-map-mods like ... unique boss ... soul eater ... 560% faster attacks... 980% additional physical damage ... 198 % of physical as additional lightningdamage ... and only one single unvulnerability shrine in next room ... Run when you see him, hihi.)

Phoenix's charged explosion aoe can oneshot since [3.18]. Keep range!

For the bosses with physical-degenerations-beams or aoe-beams (like plaza, orchard, mineral-pools, terrace, garden, high-garden) you have to use hidings like pillars to interrupt their degen-beams and let your minions do the job. Don't try to facetank them. When you activated divine shield and wicked ward or lethe shade, and take in a endurance charges, or as trickster and jugg, you can very often facetank them too, but I would not check it out in t16 red-maps, hehe.

Some other bosses are almost impossible to tank too, like the temple, vaal temple, defiled cathedral, burial chamber, crimson township, kitava, rotten core, bramble valley and foundry-bosses are rippy. Best is to oneshot them in high dps.

In the Halls of the grandmasters two of the very last grandmasters and a few Expedition-mob-types have high block and regenerations and are immortal for our default setup. You have to debuff them on top with Block Chance Reduction Support and frostbomb and use HoA-poison.


Special chainstun-situation

- In 1:10000000 cases you can be chain-stunned near to an unvulnerability shrine. In these very rare cases your molten shell cannot kill an unvulnerabel buffed mob.

When she raises bosses with debuffs, dot and degen-beams the fight is more difficult against bosses with hitting attacks and spells.

- When map-bosses with degen-beams of "mineral-pool", "garden", "high-garden", "plaza", "orchard" are summoned you need to move to the other side of the arena to interrupt their degen-beams.

HoA-virulences above 90 don't have full uptime against singletargets and bosses, so you can balance some clusters out and a second skill (or defences) in, depending on your playstyle and your favorite uber.

Universal scaling and converting

The chaos-mastery converts 40% physical damage. Sin's rebirth flask (almost 100% uptime with the tide of time belt), overwhelming malice with some crits on a large cluster, iron mass or other sources of unholy might convert all your own skills into 100% chaos simultan to your HoA to scale a second damage-skill nice high up.

With a b.i.s. rare helmet or b.i.s. rare gloves or a fitting unique /rare weapon for added integrated supports you get easy 7-links in these gear-slots.

With the amulet anoint "spiritual aid" or "the scourge" increased minion-damage buffs simultan also your own skills.

Then keystone elemental overload is probably attractive and fast reached in 3 passives for another 40% more buff equal to one skill-support.

With a Pledge of Hands you can double the damage of many fast hitting spells and in synchrony the tanky recovery es on hit with the watcher's eye is doubled. Absolution, ball lightning, arc and more fit in.

The Annihilating light can tripple damage as glascannon and is probably best scaled with crits.


Other Weapons and Uniques

The shield-variation the Squire can add in a second chaos-damageskill for additional 30% to 50M damage.

The Obliteration adds chaos, but the explosions are only good to scale in high density.
With the black cane a few storm burst millions are in range to scale with phantasms and 100% chaos-conversion.

Different 2-hand staffs and weapons buff some other skills great too.

Rare staffs can add +6 phys/chaos/spells/HoA-levels for a second 6-L.

In the bow-sector there nice alternatives also: Voltaxic rift and Darkscorn for chaos or Widowhail and the Back rear for blocks, storm rain with life on hit as hybrid, etc. ...

With the best synergies of an added socket of Uul netol's vow-amulet and skin of the lords and empower it's possible to squeeze the second skill also into the bodyarmour when all gemtags synergizes and when you replace the awakened miniondamage. Vile toxins or withering touch will be very interesting. The armour diallas malefaction grows in good scaling two times green skillgem-qualities also attractive.

Skills to scale

With optimizations and balancings fitting chaos-scaleable fast skills in example are:

void spheres of rending, absolution of inspiring, hexblast, soulrend of spiral, essence drain of wickedness, storm burst, spark, poisonous concoction, high impact mines, skeleton archers, animate weapon of ranged arms, bama: blink arrow/mirror arrow, holy relic, arakaali's fang spiders

In the end Poe balance the game around maxing and scaling only one skill into the top. Probably Poe 2 will do it different.

Because much damage can be outsourced into clusters, abyss jewels, the minion-mastery unholy might after kill, grand spectrums, etc., and the defences are stacked with auras, the golden crawler retains easy 200M dps and more in magic find-style gear. Switching out the gear is extreme easy possibly in this build.

Path 3 passives to presage and for sovereignity / influence on the tree and/or use a second small cluster sublime form to change out the rings to magic find gear.

Use low manamultiplier like awakened unbound ailments.
Visit the "manamaster" for much more possibilties.

I recommend to regear into mf in the order:

flasks > boots > helmet > belt > ring > gloves > weapon > amulet > bodyarmour

In fulljuiced maps 25M damage were always enough for me and I did not need more. When you get the fourth or fifth medium cluster with 'pure agony' you will rush through the maps topspeed. But there are faster builds of course out there than minions.

This build safe you in endgame with unique optimized defences first.
In such decisions Poe is almost always about finding the fitting balances of offensive and defensive for your goals and content. ... Do you want to farm fast, do you want to boss-hunt, do you want solo-self-levelling to lvl 100, which content like the ubers, delve, blight etc. do you prefer or do you need an Allrounder build for the mix without too much gear-swaps... ?

Some want the relaxed tank, some want the oneshot-killer. Some like the league fast and cheap, others the long race for full b.i.s.
Everyone will find his goal in this comprehensive guide.

In the end the top damage is scaled high especially with the medium clusters and HoA-lvls. Voices clusters can lift you to 112 virulences to stitch Wraeclast into the ground in half a billion damage.


My own favourite is the dramatic playstyle of the scorpion. The combinations all the flexible skills, the fast spiders, phantasms or meat shield-zombies or skeleton mages I like very much. I want a swarm of minions. I love to optimize a build and trade for best gear in slot, I like to level high 99-100, to optimize the build more with the final passives and implicits, I hate the grinding. And the visuals of spells, like ignites of raze and pillage, skills and mapdesigns are important for me to love playing a game. I love to try out and optimize all kind of skills, gear and supports. And I enjoy to write+optimize this build too, to find a unique build like here full optimizing auras, defences and keystones.

On the opposite I don't like speedfarming & grinding too much, I dislike too much dungeon-maps, Alva and temples are boring for me, but good exp., crafting is not so interesting for me, in hardcore I am afraid of loosing beloved gear, I prefer facetanking instead movement and too much kiting, .... lol, hehe, exactly all this is offered by this build. Firing the balls out, stacking virulences and damage was for me the most wonderful and enjoying playstyle in whole poe until now.


On a lot of points this build is managable to specialize on special situations with many different HoA-multipliers, triggered & channeled skills, masteries, large, small and unique clusters, jewels, auras, pantheon, flasks, gloves, ring, belt, boots, amulet, league-mechanics, etc.... I do not know a more flexible build until now.
This build plays both melee and ranged. And all our minions are immortal. Optimal for full challenges in all content.

100% ailments-immunities, melding of the flesh with 90% max resistances, the meta-mageblood-belt offer new level-ups in defences in this build. Yes, you can facetank many ubers with this build.

If you want another different playstyle, you can change your belt to the curious, funny and high damage offering and also defences buffing headhunter and try some new experiences in next level lags.

First a normal Sulphur flask is best against degens. With antifreeze when you dont have the clusternotable Hibernator.


Second, without Fasting on clusters most effective is a Quicksilver.

Third a Quartz Dodge flask, or when you dont use blindings, a Stibnit flask, smoke cloud on use for melee blinding.

Take a look into the spoiler "flasks and sulphur" for all adviced flasks.

Yes, the bottled faith and ripper are very expensive. You dont need them, but they fit perfect into the setup and are optimized with the 40 % increased recharge rate of auls uprising amulet and fasting as clusternotable.

Other unique flasks dont offer enough for the build. Rumi's concoction Granite flask is perfect as long you don't have maximum block and spell block.

Your character is getting great. With two circle rings you have also a lot of possibilities. But you are without determination? I think you have enough mana. Perhaps change determination in instead of frost wall or instead of increased duration for much more armour and es on block until you get it on a corrupted shield. Or change both withering step plus shock nova to determination plus frostblink. Or change anti-curse on flask to increased armour for a bit more armour.

I have tried to add in determination - seems reserved 100% mana, unless i drop 1 gem from Body armor or buy awakened (?) gem

seems i would need to farm for more currency

Aaaah, okay, you have to put fertile catalysts, mana quality upgrades, on your rings. Then you will get enough not reserved mana. In the spoiler gear and then spoiler circle of nostalgia and mana reservations are all reduced manareservation notes for the build. Charisma on the amulet is great too, but there you can afford with two circle-rings another anointment.

I will take a look how 2 circle-rings work. Very interesting. Perhaps with different high dex-high ES -gloves a very nice possibility too to get place for an aul's uprising later.

And I edited another possibility with frostblink above because there are not many gem-slots. Take a look into "skills- and sockets management".

The build works until lvl 98 very fine with low and medium currency and you can vary a lot of skills, support, gear and passives, but then it is getting difficult to optimize gear a bit more for lvl 99 and 100.

Very nice guide, I was wondering as Skin of the Lords with iron reflexes (Cheapest right now is 13 Ex) Is this doable without iron reflexes/Vaal Grace with a skin of the loyal until we can get enough $$$ to buy an iron reflexs Skin Lords?
