Making a dualist build, help please?

Hello everyone.

I'm hoping someone here is up for the challenge of helping me out making a build. I'm completely new to the game, only about a couple of weeks on PS4, but I know what I want at this point, but I still don't know how to get there.

I've learned by looking at builds here, that the duelist is the class to pick for this, but apart from that, I know nothing else.

I like the idea of either a giant mace, a giant axe or a couple of smaller axes or maces, more or less playing whack-a-mole with bosses and slamming hordes of trash mob with a single big swing.

I don't like the idea of having to rely on uniques for a build, there must be a collection of rares that can do the maps and keep me alive throughout the game (my ranger turned out to be made of wet paper).
