Why do you play Scion?

Honestly I started this Scion character because everyone and their mother is playing my fav character the witch. So I wanted to be different and she has a 1% pick rate. :p

Scion is more about quality of life than power. One will need above average gear to reach same dps as pure damage ascendancy like berserker.

In return one gets ability to make any archetype - play miner in the morning, spec same character to summoner in the evening.

Wander everywhere on the tree picking features that build needs most using 5 extra skill points and starting location in the center.

Pathfinder style flasks on any build.

Because she's a hot blonde, why else?

Because you get the more skill points than any other character ?

And because cluster jewels are still very good but you kinda need points to have them in your tree ?
