New Player needs help with a cyclone build

Hello guys, im new to PoE (startet 6 days ago) and i really enjoy it, thats why i played the last few days 10-12h per day and reached 75 or something like that with my Duelist (cyclone. the problem is, if i stop spinning i die like in 1-2 seconds and all the caster minins give me a hard time, my build is



but i found another cyclone build, a Scion "staff" cyclone build that plays with block and resisrance



should i stay with the duelist or switch to Scion for the new League ?

We can´t help you if you don´t actually send over your build. This is a Level 100 Tree with 2x the same weapon. When I swap to the second offered weapon you are on too low int requirement. So this doesn´t work.

Don´t send the final build plan rather than your current state so we can have a look at that.

here is my build at the moment, Duelist Cyclone Claw

Cyclone > Brutality Support > Impale Support > Fortify Support > Pulverise Support > Increased Area of Effect Support

Pride > Flesh and Stone > Enlighten Support

as soon as i stop with the cyclone because of mana or something else, i die instantly and caster minions always give me a hard time

1. Max out your elemental resistances to 75 or higher.
2. Get more life - you should be at least around 3k.
3. If not used get an armor flask, you have very low phys mitigation.

That should get you starting.

Get rid of that helmet if it makes you take 40% more phys damage, get a starkonjas head, its cheap and will help you stay alive more than the helm you have.

But I agree with Vennto, first thing that's necessary for poe endgame is enough elemental resists and enough life.

Also I think every newcomer should watch this video: https://youtu.be/ZET4C5HAz3s It explains how to shop for basic, cheap gear and how to use trade website for it. I think it's the best explanation I've found. If you have low resists, low amounts of life and wear too many uniques instead of rares with helpful stats, this should help to get the gist of it.
