Gladiator - Lacerate - Bleed - Impale

as title says, I play Gladiator.

question:

I use Astral Plate (pretty decent one) total I have around 8K armour and 5k life

If I switch to belly of the Beast, my armour drops to like 5K armour, but raises around 1K life.

so what is better high armour / medium life OR medium rmor / higher life?

above is without any flask or buff
