Noob questions for delve deadeye ranger

Hello friends,

I like this game a lot and keep coming back to it, but I am a pretty casual gamer. Whenever I try to read old threads and gather information about changes, I find out that I basically know nothing.

For example I had no clue how pierce and chain interact and that chain is apparently useless if you pierce everything or maybe I am wrong again?

My main question would be this: Which ascendancy nodes should I be taking? I am pretty sure gathering winds is untouchable and it feels really strong, but the other 3 nodes I am just not sure anymore.

Can you guys with more experience please have a look at my character and tell me what I am doing wrong? It's a lightning arrow ranger build from a few years ago that I picked up, which again, I am sure is pretty terrible the way I set it up.

If you have any hints concerning ascendancy nodes, passive nodes, items I should or should not use, flasks and so on, I would be very glad to hear them.

Next up regarding items is a 6l voltaxic rift, so I can have much better damage with blast rain. Then I planned a 40% lightning arrow damage increase rat's next and after that much better boots/rings/gloves/belt/amulet and maybe even a better 6l armor.
