CA Pathfinder vs Raider

Hey,I know that at first glance it looks like Pathfinder is obv pick because it has poison themed nodes with more chaos dmg but at second look raider got
40% attack speed 56% mov speed +16% dodge +50% evade and immunity to ailments that is pretty much pernament+qol phasing.

I do not care much for low tier maps,i stick mostly to t15+ and dvelve
what would be better pick for end game(as in not farming burial chambers every day for 25hours but actually trying to get deep in to mine)

:^) btw poison does not look like it does anything and agony pet does not apply blind and it makes me mad because i wanted to make blinding version of ca.

Tld;dr version

What is better with low hp and bad gear to survive
What is better if you want to push as deep in to dvelve as possible
What is better for speedfarming
(everying related to CA build)

I feel pretty, Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty, and witty and gay,
And I pity Any girl who isn’t me today!

Taking into account that you pick DoT CA:

What is better with low hp and bad gear to survive
--> Raider

What is better if you want to push as deep in to dvelve as possible
--> Pathfinder / Trickster

What is better for speedfarming
--> Trickster

GL picking!
personally, im doing a toxic rain/CA raider, and i'll tell you why i picked raider.

so yeah, everyone is going pathfinder right now for the new nodes, but the new nodes are focused on poison more than chaos damage. unless you are using poison the new pathfinder nodes won't do much for you damage wise.

even that you're not getting much defense with pathfinder. raider will give you more damage and much much more defense. let me explain.

so people really under value the defense that evasion and damage avoidance stacking can give you. well raider easily gets the most evasion possible. with avatar of the chase you'll get 40% attack speed, 40% movement speed and 30% attack damage (doesn't affect your DoT at all), and you also get 25% more evasion while you have onslaught, which is ALWAYS.
now you have other options with raider, if you want to go phasing, which is a decent route but for DoT damage i'd say its not the best option. you'd only benefit from phasing itself, 6% dodge and 10% spell dodge. not the biggest benefit for 4 ascendancy.

im personally going the frenzy route with my build. i'll have 6 total frenzy, so i'll get a total of 24% more damage (more than pathfinder gives you already), 52% attack speed, and 12% movement speed.

for me, going toxic rain with a quill rain, stacking this much attack speed is fucking bonkers.

anyway, back to the evasion. so evasion/dodge stacking is incredible because you will also negate on hit effects such as stun, poison, bleed, etc. all you need to do is ensure you have a high enough life pool to not get one-shot, which isn't too hard to do anyway.

this is another point to where i am differing from others builds. they all have a "standard" tree they're all copying, and mine started out looking like it, but i drastically changed it so i have much more life, actually more damage, and much more life regen. let me give you a preview.

Passive Tree

with this tree i end up with %214, which is pretty massive for a bow user. also have slots for 4 jewels and quick access for 2 more depending on levels obtained. i also end up with 5.2% regen i think it is, which is 11.2% with a flask.

anyway, my build uses a quill rain, which is cheap and reliable but tough on mana, so i just went blood magic. my regen is good but i don't have life leech, this sucks. however i can easily run a 4L of barrage, gmp, faster attacks, life gain on hit for a massively fast top up of my HP, in conjunction with my regen and hp pot, as well as just not getting hit.

so since im blood magic, i use an essence worm so i can run grace, which is key for raider. you want as much base evasion as you can get so that 25% more gives you the most boost. with grace and a jade of reflexes you'll be sitting at around 60% evasion with a couple of evasion pieces of gear. 25% more gives you 81% evasion. you also have dodge and potentially blind on top of it all. your physical evasion is insane.

another thing about the way im building, is your chest slot is completely free, so long as you have a 6L quill rain (cheapest of most 6L options). this means you can run a kintsugi if you want to try to push the darkness, or a queen of the forest if you want to go super zoom zoom through maps/delve, or a kaom's heart to push hard content for that massive hp/regen. sockets do not matter.

so i'll essentially be an OP toxic rain/CA damage raider with over 95% physical attack avoidance, lots of spell avoidance (75% spell dodge with vaal grace active) and upwards of nearly 8k HP and about 850 regen on consecrated ground.

TLDR:
raider is much better. i personally advise going avatar of the chase for the first 4, then go into frenzy charges. there isn't many unique flasks you can use for a DoT build anyway so you don't need the elemental ailment immunity, since you can just put those on your utility flasks

As much as I agree on the raider side of things that tree sacrifices a lot of quality of life things for only a little bit more life (9%) and little less damage.
Also less evasion along with having to deal with blood magic and sacrificing a ring slot for grace so you lose life anyways. Cant run despair+blasphemy if you wanted.
You should reevaluate that tree.

what tree are you comparing it to? because every other tree i've seen ppl doing for pathfinder, this is quite a bit more life, more damage, and basically not losing any quality of life things not related to pathfinder.
i also have 4 sockets i can slot 7% life jewels into, and use a kaom's

don't need to run despair/blasphemy, just manual curse despair vs bosses (only time you'll need to use it)

Have a look at my tree.
You sacrifice the mana/flask nodes, life/life flask regen nodes, pierce nodes, evasion and life nodes,skill effect duration nodes and all the extra damage/life/evasion/movementspeed/resist nodes at the top.
All of this gone for what I can see 9% life.

No, Raider is not undervalued, PF is just that good. You don't even get that PF / Flask scaling is through the rough making PF one of the most defensive / offensive classes avaiable.
Also trying to compare subpar trees doesn't make raider any better. There is a reason trees don't have much divergence.
Get a PoB running, post it on the forum, and get shredded by PFs.

lol oh bud. i invented one of the most OP pathfinder builds there ever was a month before the ascendancy patch when pathfinder was teased. the whole insane dmg and 100% res BV pathfinder.
could find the thread for you, probably, but this was back when every unique flask was the most OP shit in the world.
so yes, trust me, i know how strong pathfinder CAN be.

ya, i know why there isn't much tree/build diversity. its because people can't think for themselves. they don't dare challenge what is being perceived as popular or powerful to try to rethink something.

doesn't matter anyway, our builds are different. you're playing CA, im playing toxic rain.

i also see plenty wrong with your tree, but it works. have fun with your characters bois
