I am finally writing the build guide for my Indigon Mjolner pathfinder. I've always wanted to make Mjolner a good item again and with the introduction of indigon and the new Delve league-exclusive ring, I think Mjolner has good potential in both standard and in challenge leagues.

Mjolner paired with Indigon is the best combo i managed to find to make discharge decent.

This build will cover two versions of the builds: A league or more budget version that is life-based and a CI version.



THIS IS NOT A LEAGUE STARTER BUILD. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY IT ONLY ONCE YOU REACH LEVEL 89. It is much easier to spec into this build than to level with it because of the extreme attribute and gear requirements.

League Build highlight:
As an Indigon build, this is a mana-stacking build; the more mana you have the more damage you can get.
This is a pathfinder build, the build can only work because of permanent flask uptimes, and relies on this to also cover elemental resistances.
- Easily achieve a pool of 5.5k life/2K ES with 3k mana (using MoM, providing an EHP of approximately 8.8k life)
- 79%fire/79cold/79%lightning max resistance ( can go higher if using purities)
- over 8 Discharge per sec
- 2-second or more immortal call
- high amount of sustain, similar to the old Vaal Pact playstyle
- all content viable
- high scaling potential


Pros
-tanky
-decent clearspeed
-not too expensive
-Using 8+ Discharge per sec again


Cons
-CI version is very expensive
-requires time to get used to the play style
-If you run out of flask ur a dead


Mechanic

Power charge generation:
We are using Romira's Banquet as the power charge generator of this build. Since it removes all power charge when dealing a critical strike obtain the least crit chance possible, while still being able to crit in order to benefit from elemental overload. We can also pair it with Inyas Epiphany boots, or the new unique ring from Delve league Precursor's Emblem.

Elemental Equilibrium(EE):
When used correctly, this single node often provides 50% More damage to the build. Since we are using lightning and fire dmg on Discharge, we proc this keystone with the attack hits from Mjolner. Therefore, on those attacks, we want to avoid any source of fire/lightning damage (to attacks), such as the flat rolls on rings. These would result in a loss of damage due to the 25% resistance the enemies would gain right before a we proc a discharge.
Unlike other mjolner build with EE this 1 doesn't require any flat cold dmg to attack to proc EE since we are using the unique flask Taste of hate, which adds some cold to our physical damage. This flask is the source for the cold damage we need on our attacks, such as cyclone, to proc EE.

Life gain:
This build uses the unique Kingsguard chest with the 100 life gain per endurance charge consumed. This is what enables the tanky playstyle of the build with is massive life gain.

Indigon and cyclone:
Since this is an Indigon build we get spell damage by stacking mana, so we want to focus on mana with gear. To quickly explain, each time you spend 200 mana, the mana cost goes up by 50-60%, but you also get 20-25% increased spell damage, so the more mana you have, the more stacks of spell damage you can get from Indigon.
This is the key item that provide all the sources of "% Increased Damage". Since this is not a poet's pen build, we always need to be able to attack so we want to keep the mana cost of cyclone between 25-30 mana cost. You can choose to go higher the more mana you have, but unless u have 4K+ unreserved i wouldn't recommend going beyond 30 mana cost.
To get the indigon stacks going we need to do quick cyclone and quickly change direction to get, and also this spend mana alot faster then cycloning slowly on top of the target. Avoid doing long, straight lines of cyclone, as cyclone consumes mana per click, not per distance travel. Short quick cyclones are the key!

Its very important to understand that cyclone rate of spending mana is base on is movespeed and not is attack speed, so its very important to have high movespeed, this build achieve this with a double movespeed quicksilver flask (U need Alchemist of Adrenaline).

Shaper MOD cooldown recovery and Attack Speed
This mod is very important to reduce the hidden internal cooldown on Mjolner. More precisely, without this mod, Mjolner can only proc 6 times a second per gem. To enable 8-9 potential procs per second, you can get cooldown recovery as a mod on boots and belts that have the Shaper aspect.

So with this new cooldown on mjolner and the potential 8-9 discharge, this build need all the attack speed u can put on it.

Q:Im not getting any dmg?
A:U need to use this exact quicksilver to get the indigon mechanic running


Q: The dmg is not like in your shaper run video whats the issue?
A: Do you have any lightning/fire dmg on cyclone because this will prevent the 50% More dmg from EE, also is your lightning res the highest otherwise wise oak will not give you any dmg.

Q:The dmg ramp up seem very slow how to fix this?
A: Do you have the same quicksilver mods, you also can increase the ramp speed by adding or swapping gem on your 6L for some with a higher mana multiplier to augment the cyclone mana cost.

Q: Im not able to sustain the mana cost.
A: Do you have the boots enchant recommended, make sure you also have a warlord mark ring for the mana leech, if you still want more mana regen you can use a clarity mana recovery watcher's eye.

Q:the CI version feels very weak how can i get more ES?
A: you are probably doing the CI version on a budget go back to the life build if you don't have a 800+ ES regalia and a 400+ ES shield.

Q: Why Energy Shield Leech and how can i make sure to always be leeching ES
A: The new Gem Energy shield leech from 3.6 enable a full hybrid build, to make sure you are always getting the 40% More dmg you have to use Blood rage gem, this make you degen so you are always leeching a little.

Gears:
Weapons:

% chance to fortify on hit is the best corruption u can get it free up a link on the cyclone, or u can go for a attack speed implicit corruption.

Boots:

( I highly recommend getting the 2% life/mana regen if hit recently enchant it give alot of mana regen)

For boots u need to use inya's Epiphany to get the power charge generation. Unless u have a Precursor's Emblem ring with the Chance to gain Maximum power charge u must use those boots.



If u have a Precursor's ring with the right mod then u can use either rare boots with Life/Movespeed/Res/Strength/Cooldown Recovery, or deaths door for the nice +1 endurance charge/Res/Strength.





Glove:
The best n only pair of glove to use for this build is Shaper touch ( attack speed corruption or +2 to auras can be a good upgrade)


Helm:
We need to use Indigon this is a core item of the build (Reduce mana to auras is a great enchant because thee more mana u have the more indigon stack u can have), or +1 power charge cottuption. Do not forget that indigon got cap to 2K inc spell damage in 3.5



Rings:
We need to use Romiras Banquet for the powercharge generation


For the other ring we want a rare elder ring with warlord mark curse on hit, for the other mods look for life/res/strength/mana


Amulet:


+1 maximum resistance/+1 curse/Attack speed can be a good option for corruption

yes the build can work w/o voll's devotion but u will be missing the life gain from the chest.

Belt:
Since this is a ranger playing mjolner we need a ton's of strength on gear so Heavy belt is the best base u can use. We also want life/strength/res/and cooldown recovery


Shield:
This build use saffel frame for the great defense it give trought Max resistance ( phys dmg taken has cold/lightning/fire is the corruption u should be looking for)


Body armor:


Jewels:
Jewel stats u should focus on:
Attack speed/maximum life/maximum mana/resistance




For the watcher's eye we can use the clarity MOM , % chance to recover 10% of ur mana pool or % increased mana recovery


Flask:


Those are what enable indigon mechanic and the mana sustain

Cyclone
This 5L will put u with a 27 mana cost, this should be the mana cost needed to have a balance between sustain n dmg.



For the last link if u have a 6L added faster casting this will increase the amount of hit of storm brand, this will help getting more power charge generation and also deal slightly more dmg with storm brand. Or you can use Culling strike gem for the extra att speed and the 10% Cull.






RF/arcane surge



Using vortex to get arcane surge if a nice buff we got from 3.5 since it give the build to possibility to chill and also add a small amount of DOT dmg.

Shield charge


(feel free to add culling strike to help for boss)

CWDT immortal call


Purities
Since this build is pretty unique heavy we can use 1 purity auras to fix any res issue, link it with enlighten if possible.

This version is for more discharge proc but also has a higher entry cost. This version require very optimized gear both on league or on STD, if you are asking yourself how u could make it work, your'e better going for the life version and once u understand the build correctly then switch for the CI version if u really want to.


I decided to add a CI version for Delve since the chaos degen become too insane to deal with in very depth delve. U could always go for LL if u are looking to get more dmg.

This jewel is what enable the ES version of the build because it need the clarity mana mod to reach acceptable lvl of ES and the ES gain on hit since we don't gain 100 life per endurance charge, paired with vinktar VP it make for enough ES gain to facetank everything.

(if u are on league both mods are required, if u play this version on STD u need at least the clarity mod+legacy vinktar and vaal pack)

Helmet:


The best corruption is +1 power charge, or get a 30% chance to not consume charge enchant.



Chest:

Incandescent is a good budget option



If u want u can use any 750 ES + chest but u will lose the extra chaos dmg but u will gain more ES.



I strongly recommend u run the COC Armageddon/storm brand combo on cyclone it give a dmg boost and help with the charge generation.

Boot:


If u are trying this version in league u have to use inya's . Also for league the best enchant for u would be 2% life/mana regen if hit recently to help the mana sustain. If u have more budget on std and a legacy vinktar u can go for some GG ES CDR boots, to get more discharge proc.

Glove:


Best corruption for glove is ele weak or enfeeble.

Rings:


For the rare ring look for something with strength/mana/ES (accuracy/res/int could be a nice bonus). If u play this build on league or don't have a vinktar flask don't forget to get a elder ring with warlord mark on hit.

U will also want to use a precursor ring with 15% chance to gain max power charge.

Also need a romira for the power charge generation.






Amulet:


Good corruption could be +1 curse/+1% max res/Spell Block/% all resistances

Belt:


Get a rare Cooldown Recovery belt with has much strength/ES/RES

Shield:


Get has much ES has u can get + RES/open suffix to craft 30 strength

weapons:


%fortify on hit is the best corruption since it remove a link to cyclone u can also go for %AS/ AOE corruption.

Jewels:

unique jewel required:


If u do the build in league u will need this jewel also



rare jewel:

For rare jewel look for attack speed/mana/Energy shield

For jewel corruption 1% mana reserved/% increased effect of non-dmaging ailments on enemies( increased shock)/immune to silence are the best u should be looking for

Flask:


If u play in league replace Vinktar for a mana flask. Its very important to have a double movespeed role on ur quicksilver the more movespeed u have the faster the ramp up is.
U can replace Dying sun for Rumi if u can get cap on fire resistance.

Nice, as a low life Mjolner user in past leagues I would like to see something decent with it, do you have videos with clearspeed? we know mjolner is tanky but sometimes slow.

Some question/tips, have you tested with elemental equilibrium? I used it in the past with a ring adding fire/cold for attacks, so more light dmg.
Also I had the resolute teqnique gloves adding a lot of dmg, but maybe your gloves are better.

Can you put links for the lowlife version?

For the clearspeed its pretty good not the fastest in the game, but since the build stack attack speed to abuse indigon the shield charge speed is very fast.

yes im using elemental equilibrium, has i said in the build guide i don't need the flat cold on ring because im using Taste of hate that already add cold dmg on my cyclone. Also u want to use shaper glove because this build stack mana, with indigon more mana = more dmg.

More than that you can add Arc as a second spell in Mjolner for amazing clear speed.

Im using arc/discharge for clearing map and discharge ball lightning for bossing, i need ball lgihtning to keep the mana up at all time its not really there for the dmg, and also ball lightning make sure that i generate plenty enough charge.

Played along with Phil on my aurabot. The AOE + damage on this thing carried my aurabot through every single content in game easily! :)
