Question about chaos/elemental resists...

I have a level 72 Slayer Cyclone. I killed all bandits.

With no weapons, armor or jewels equipped, my elemental and chaos resists across the board are at -30%.

Does that sound right?

I noticed that a level 1 Duelist is no where near this bad. So where is the steep penalty coming from?

Yeah so when you kill Kitava in act 5 you are affected by his curse.

That gives -30% all res.

Then when you kill him again in act 10 you are again, cursed.

Another -30% all res.

When finishing all the acts it brings you to -60% all res if you have nothing on.

This is to simulate the old breaks between difficulties of Cruel and Merciless in which your res was lowered.
