Power Siphon / Kinetic Blast question

Is it good idea to take KB build, but as main skill use PS? Obvious question: why would you do that? KB should be still supperior, so why switch it to worse gem?

I think pros are:
-don't need to bother with power charges generation;
-free gmp;
-free culling strike;
-free 10% crit multi per power charge, which is expensive to get on items, so overall build should be cheaper

cons:
-slower?
-range? (not clearing 2 screens at once?)
-dmg?

The biggest reason to take PS over KB would be that you don't need to run Assassin's Mark for power charge generation and you can drop GMP for %more damage gem. You could easily run Warlord's Mark for curse on hit and blood rage and boom you have full charge generation which is really strong since PS has it built in for Power charges
