6 Socket Chest iLvl 57... is 6 Link possible?

Here is the chest. ^^


I read somewhere that 6 link requires level 60+?


If I use a Fusing on this, does the item level have anything to do with the CHANCE of getting 5L? or does item level ONLY have to do with the POSSIBILITY of having a 5L?

For example, if two chests have 5 sockets, and one is item level 60, and the other is 70, do they both still have the same chance of rolling a 5 link?

Since it already has 6 sockets, 6L is possible.
Itemlevel only determines max number of sockets, not chance for those sockets to show up (which is fixed and very low for 5/6) nor chance to get higher level links (which is fixed and very low for 5/6L).

As pneuma said: any item that can have 6 sockets can have 6 linked sockets. Actually rolling that without an endless supply of fusings, on the other hand, is between you and the RNG gods.
