3.26 f1rstborn's Absolution of Inspiring Totem | Delver, Mapper, Bosser | WIP
Hello Exiles. F1rstborn here and I know it's been a long time since I dropped [or updated] a guide. I came across Absolution of Inspiring while improving another minion based totem build and instantly had to try it. At 20% Quality it applies 300% of minion damage increases to its damage scaling. On the cheap end, this means a decent rolled Fortress Covenant can give 120% increased damage. With some investment, cluster jewels can give 39% increased damage per point invested. Lastly, the Elegant Hubris Timeless Jewel can give 240% increased damage per converted notable. A quick poe.ninja search shows 3 hierophants playing it (and none on totems) so let's get to work on this non-meta pick.

Questions and Answers
Are there any required uniques?
While the build scales heavily with a number of uniques such as Coiling Whisper, Sandstorm Visage and Whispers of Infinity, the only required unique for the build is Trolltimber Spire; a literal 1C unique. We use this as it is currently the only way to enable totem leeching (something GGG should address). While we don't have access to overleech like a trickster, 5 totems spamming leech effects is still very good recovery.
Mana costs are insane
This build really strives for that PoE2 feeling in terms of mana costs so we can feel the weight of the build /s. Before switching to whispers on infinity we will want to use inspiration support, a mana flask, and leave a chunk fo mana available for casting. After whispers, you won't even notice the costs
Why Incandescent Heart
It can be very tempting to go for a 1000+ES Body armour as they are readily available with the new i84 bases. That said, the 25% less elemental damage taken due to incandescent heart shifting it to our "CI'd" chaos resist will beat the difference in energy shield. In addition, it is much easier to find corrupted, or even double corrupted, uniques than to try to make up the damage difference with Eldritch Modifiers.
Can you explain the Coiling whisper tech?
Coiling whisper provides us 1 soul every time 90% of a hex duration expires. Combining a mirrored "reduced curse skill effect duration" ring and a level 1 temporal chains get us most of the way there. To guarantee 99% reduction we will put the correct quality on temporal chains (giving +1% duration per quality) and the correct level of hextouch (subtracting 1% duration per level).
Do you have 100% Flask uptime?
Yes, I wanted to provide a pre-mageblood version without using "The Traitor" keystone so that we could still use Elegant Hubris. To this we need increase flask duration via flask prefixes and obtain 66% increased flask charges gained by combining "Fasting" from a cluster jewel, "Replenishing Remedies" via anoint, and taking the "Essence Extraction" wheel. All of these points we gain back when switching to Mageblood however.
Ascendancies
1. Pursuit of Faith - This gives us our third totem. Makes the totems last longer, and makes placing them comfortable. Likely the most important node we have. 2. Arcane Blessing - 20% more damage, 20% cast speed, 30% manage regeneration rate; all of which scale with arcane surge effect. It also guarantees uptime while casting spells and totems. 3. Ritual of Awakening - life (eventually energy shield) regeneration, mana regeneration and more damage per totem. 4. Conviction of Power - Power charges are largely wasted until we scale critical strikes but endurance charges are one of the most busted defensive mechanics in the game currently. 5. Forbidden Flesh/Flame combo give us access to a 5th Templar Ascendancy. There isn't anything else in Hierophant worth having. Inquisitor only has Augury of Penitence for even more elemental reduction and some more elemental damage. Guardian has 3 options: A. Unwavering Faith (most expensive) will give you access to another Aura B. Radiant Crusade (least expensive) will give access to a minion that takes 20% of your damage for you. C. Bastion of Hope (medium priced) will give conditional block and spell block.

The Mercenary
We utilize the crap out our Mercenary (please let them go core). We want a Frosthand. -Ideally we want Discipline to lessen our socket and reservation pressure and Purity of Ice for resistances. -Ideally we want Vortex and Icestorm to create chilled ground for the gloves. -We use sign of the sin eater in the place of Purity of Elements for ailment immunity. -We use the helmet/rings/amulet/body armour/belt/gloves and boots to maximize damage -Haven't figured out anything for the shield, so we just increase survivability.
