3.0 crashing due to DX11 issue

PoE has never had any issues on my PC in any iteration up until now. I think this has to be a PoE related bug since I play a multitude of other games without issue. Since 3.0 release I have had issue with the game crashing randomly (cannot seem to find a specific relation to me doing something specific in game). From my testing so far it seems to be a DX11 bug. I know the game is going to crash before it does because one of the side monitors will go black and when it refreshes PoE will go black or pixelate and crash. I have already checked my hardware, game files, and DXdiag with no issues showing. My setup:

PC:
Intel i7 5820K OC to 4.2
EVGA GeForce GTX 980TI FTW edition
ASRock Extreme 4 X99 mobo
16 GB DDR4 RAM
Samsung Evo 850 500g x4 in RAID 0
Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit

Dispays:
ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q connected via DisplayPort (Gsync enabled)
2x Dell S2715H connected via HDMI

Pretty much everything is toggeled on/set to max in game settings. I am assuming it may be one of the new graphical changes/options added doesn't like something I am running. Currently trying a fresh install as well. I was able to eliminate a few possibilities so far and now got an error message "Failed create D3D11 Device, your hardware is not DirectX11 compatible."

I would love to continue playing with other things open in my other monitors. I couldn't find anything, but maybe there is a known issue with an in game option I can change? Appreciate any help!

So after some more testing I have found it is definitely not a multiple monitor issue. I finally had some time to disconnect the side monitors and the game then crashed and gave me this error "Failed to create D3D11 Device, your hardware is not DirectX11 compatible." So obviously it is a DX11 issue.

Now it's a question of why? My hardware is compatible with up to DX12...

I'm going to try a full reinstall at this point since the verifying game files hasn't shown anything.
So 2 fresh installs later and the game is still crashing. Going to change to DX9 for next test, but really not happy about it :/

Edit: Just tested DX9 and it goes down to like 20 FPS instead of my normal ~200 FPS. So that is not a solution either.

I am about ready to give up on this game again at this point T_T The game has been near unplayable for me since 3.0 dropped

Judging by your first post you are experiencing a display driver crash that is why your second monitor goes black and the game dies afterwards.
Try to reinstall the current driver or install a different one, also you could use evga precisionX to increase powerlimit, give it or take more volts (risky but meh) even underclock or remove the factory overclock.
I know you sad other games work fine but you should know that not every game is made the same way, even tough it doesn't look like some games are more taxing than the others despite the same gpu usage.
Also for the start lock that damn framerate so that your card doesn't sit at a 100% at all times and check if the game still crashes.
Cooperation is a silent form of conflict.
It seems like your GPU is not working properly, and it resets its driver, thats why your monitors go black and the messege about unsupported hardware pops up. I would try lower GPU clocks, for the core and memory as well, other way is to increase core voltage a bit. If none of these works I would try another GPU to make sure its not GPU related.

I have been having this exact same issue sense the 3.0 update. I played the game a ton before the 3.0 update with characters that generally lag out the graphics for low end computers. Like an Aurabot with 14 auras, a minion witch with enough fireballs flying you can't see the ground. And I never once have had this game crash it slowed down with Directx11 but that was the most that would happen. I started a new character for the new update to try it all fresh.

It will either blank out one of my other monitors then crash just as does for Leezergeezer or blank out the game's monitor then blank all of them come back and crash. And I am just running around using double strike or whirling blades. Nothing graphically demanding.

PC Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 5930K @ 3.50GHz
Ram: 32.0GB @ 1065MHz (15-15-15-35)
Mobos: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. SABERTOOTH X99
GPU: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X (EVGA)
HDD: 372GB NVMe INTEL SSDPEDMW40 SCSI Disk Device
Displays:
ASUS VE248 24" Monitors (x3)

I have done a clean install of the latest drivers for my card and done a few stress tests and it never even blinked at them. Yet I throw Path of Exile at it and it will eventually blank or gray screen one of my other monitors and crash or the main monitor and crash. Done CSGO at 4k runs perfect. Rocket League fine, Dark Souls 3 fine. It is not the graphics card this seems more like a issue with the Path of Exile Engine somewhere cause I ran it in Directx9 and it never crashes. Something is wrong with Directx11.

So as an update, I saw a new patch went live for the PoE client (not released on Steam yet). I have been playing on Steam, but I went and installed the client to see if this solved the issue. So far my game hasn't crashed yet. However, the game glitched out at one point and resized my Fullscreen Windowed game to show the Windows Taskbar. I reverted the window size back to normal, but right after the sound bugged out and started to crackle.

Really looks like there are some bugs that still need to be worked out of release, but hey it's a step in the right direction (I hope).
What GPU drivers are you running guys ? I had some issues with latest two releases, maybe you can try older version. Im now using 382.53 and all seems fine. Maybe worth a try

So I had a crash last night on the PoE client that was the same as the original issue, so it looks like the patch didn't resolve the issue. Currently on the latest driver for my card 384.94

I will start toying around with my GPU settings some more and see if that resolves anything.
Same 384.94 driver still the same issue.
